  I have been fortunate to have met this Pharmacist, Astrid. She is such a wonderful human being in every possible way - whom served me in the most caring manner that I don't really experience in my own country. She is not interested in selling me OTC medicine, but more concern of my wife's conditions (she was possibly suffering from altitude sickness) so that the right medication can be given. She even pulled me to consult with the nice doctor (in the same pharmacy) to get second opinions. After prescribing Ibuprofen, Astrid even went the extra mile to inform me to call for emergency doctor services and printed out a list of Zermatt's emergency doctor call list. Thank you Astrid and Amavita pharmacy, my wife has since recovered from her severe headache.

  Leider wurden von 3 vorhandenen stabilisierenden Strumpfmodellen nur gerade das billigste und schlechteste angeboten. Die Beratung war nicht gut ,da sie erst nach wiederholten Nachfragen unwillig geschah. Musste alles selbst im Laden erkunden ,ob es noch andere Modelle des Strumpfs gab,Insbesondere der Französisch sprechende junge Mann gab den Eindruck dass er eigentlich zu gut für den Job ist. Geht zur anderen Apotheke beim Bahnhof, dort ist die Beratung nett und kompetent.

  I visited the pharmacy initially because I’d forgotten some supplements back home. Astrid was very, very friendly and helpful and really went out of her way to locate the supplements elsewhere and ordered them. She literally spent at least half an hour to get it sorted for me. In the meantime we also had a very warm chat. I visited again the next day to pick up my order and also to get something else. I was helped by another lady, whose name I don’t remember, sadly, but was also very, very helpful and friendly. The medication I was looking for was apparently a prescription only in Switzerland but she was able to provide an alternative which helped. The prices are possibly higher than they are elsewhere (I actually can’t say, just guessing from the other comments) but that has been my experience in all mountain / ski resorts. I was at another pharmacy in Zermatt earlier on the first day and the prices were the same.
