  Hotel Alpenhof was one of the highlights of our entire trip through Switzerland. We stayed in the Superior Suite Mountain View and from the moment we walked in, we were blown away. The room was beautiful — large, spotlessly clean, wonderfully comfortable bed, and everything you'd want from a Swiss mountain hotel. But nothing — absolutely nothing — prepares you for the view. The Eiger North Face rising directly above Grindelwald, framed perfectly from the balcony. We genuinely stood there in silence the first time we saw it. One of the most extraordinary views either of us has ever experienced from a hotel room. You could sit on that balcony all day and never get tired of it. Breakfast was equally impressive — a generous Swiss spread with fresh breads, cheeses, cold cuts, yoghurt, eggs, fruit and excellent coffee. A perfect way to start a day in the Alps. The hotel has a wonderful family-run feel — warm, personal and genuinely welcoming. Tucked slightly up the hill from the main village, it's quiet and peaceful while still being just minutes from the train station and everything Grindelwald has to offer. If you're visiting Grindelwald, book a room with a mountain view and don't look back. Unforgettable.

  Our stay at Alpenhof in Grindelwald was nothing short of wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth and exceptional hospitality. The receptionist was outstanding, going above and beyond to ensure that our stay was comfortable and memorable. Every member of the staff demonstrated the same level of kindness, professionalism, and care, making us feel truly valued as guests. One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. While the selection was simple, it was thoughtfully prepared and served with such warmth and love that it became one of our favorite parts of each day. It is this personal touch and sincere hospitality that truly sets Alpenhof apart from many other hotels. The views from the hotel are simply breathtaking. Surrounded by the majestic Eiger, every glance out the window felt like looking at a postcard. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning scenery created unforgettable memories that we will treasure for years to come. Alpenhof is more than just a place to stay,it is a place where genuine hospitality meets the beauty of Switzerland. We are deeply grateful to the entire team for making our visit so special and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Grindelwald. Thank you for an amazing experience. We hope to return again someday.

  This hotel was amazing. We were able to book a room on the day we arrived and got a balcony room with an incredible view of the Alps. Reception were lovely and breakfast was great too. Also it was about 100CHF cheaper to book directly with the hotel instead of through booking.

  It's the greatest location on earth. The motel is comfortable, quiet, and lovely. The morning breakfast is a nice surprise. The views from our room were unbelievable. The Beagles are adorable and sweet Thank you!!!
