Avoid the Best Buy at Marche-Centrale like the plague. I always have the worse experience whenever dealing with the customer service at this location. My most recent experience was last week when I went to return a PS5 Game. Bare in mind, this game was a preorder and released the day prior to my return. Also, the game was sealed. Anyhow, when I went in for the return, the customer service cashier was looking at my game all weird and then decided to open it up which made no sense to me given that it was completely brand new and sealed (Best Buy doesn't accept returns on unsealed games). Upon opening it up, he's telling me things like how the plastic wrapper isn't good and isn't original? Then, he takes the disc and tells me it's not even a real disc as it's a sticker? I legit was dumbfounded as to what he was telling me. He was also implying I may be the one returning a fake copy like how? The game released literally the day before and I even have proof that the delivery courier delivered it to me the day prior. How can I possibly do anything within a day? In case anyone is curious, I returned the game as I found it cheaper on Facebook Marketplace on the release date. Since it was a preorder, the item was not shipped until the day before the release date. So it was too late to even cancel my online order once I saw the cheaper price on facebook marketplace. The cashier still tells me it's not returnable and I must contact Best Buy support. So I show him the app on my phone which clearly shows there is no online return option and that it's exclusively return in-stores (even though I ordered it online). Then, he takes my phone, which I assume was to verify information. I then find out after 2 minutes, he's actually looking through my phone, as in browsing on the phone, looking at my pictures, and my texts. Found this to be an extreme breach of privacy as I did not give him my phone to be snooped around (I could tell based on the windows that were open on my phone). I then asked him if he at least gave me a documented note that attests the game was sealed prior to him opening it. He refused. I was quite frankly, embarrassed as it was being implied I returned a poor copy. I can never recommend anyone to go here.
I didn't catch his name but I've seen this particular cashier several times before. He's thin, brown, and appears to be Hispanic. I would avoid going to this Best Buy for regular purchases, let alone returns. I had a similar experience nearly 2 years ago with this same exact cashier at the customer service desk (remembered him a few minutes into my recent return experience). In the other experience, I ordered brand new headphones from Best Buy website. When I received them, there was some slight material tearing off the ear pads. As such, I asked whether it was possible to have a replacement. Same guy tells me they don't have it in stock. Ok great, how about a refund? Denies me a refund and says it appears to be used. HOW??? Checked similar reviews and I can see many people have the exact same experience at Best Buy Marche Centrale.
