FROM ROBERTO CAMPO - UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW: I followed the instructions given in Best Buy’s public response to my last review and contacted support again through their provided link. Despite doing exactly what was requested, I still never received any meaningful follow-up or resolution.
After almost 9 months of emails, chats, escalations, and repeated promises of follow-up from Best Buy, I finally gave up and paid over $400 out of pocket to repair the stove myself.
This is after the unit was originally DROPPED during delivery and required repairs immediately after installation.
What is most concerning is not just the appliance issue itself, but the complete lack of accountability and customer support throughout the process. I followed every instruction given to me by Best Buy, including restarting support chats and re-submitting my information after management publicly replied to my review. Even then, nobody followed up.
At one point, Best Buy even offered a gift card as part of a proposed solution. When I attempted to move forward with that option, I once again stopped receiving responses entirely, which made this situation even more frustrating.
At no point should a customer have to spend months chasing responses for a major appliance that a family depends on every single day, especially while still financing the product.
I am handling this situation for my elderly parents, and what has become clear is that once there is a serious issue with an appliance purchase, support becomes extremely difficult to access. Responses are spaced weeks apart, agents disappear, and no one takes ownership of resolving the issue.
I am once again requesting direct contact from someone at Best Buy Canada with the authority to properly review this file and address the costs we were forced to absorb because of a delivery-damaged appliance.
Please carefully read the full history of this review thread from the beginning before responding again. At this stage, it is difficult to feel confident that the details and timeline of this situation are actually being reviewed in full.
Until then, I unfortunately cannot recommend purchasing major appliances from Best Buy if reliable post-sale customer support matters to you.
