My initial club fitting experience at Golf Town/Studio X was excellent. The fitter was knowledgeable, professional, and made me feel confident in my purchase decisions. Unfortunately, everything that happened after the fitting fell well below expectations.
The overall communication, service, and customer experience were disappointing. One club was missing from my order when it arrived, which resulted in two separate trips to the store to resolve the issue (120min round trips each). Despite the clubs arriving, no one contacted me to let me know they were ready for pickup, leaving me to follow up myself.
To make matters worse, the wrong grips were installed on the clubs. When I returned to have the correct grips installed, I was surprised to be charged for the replacement, even though the mistake was not mine. There was no communication or discussion on this and if the grips that were originally selected were installed properly the first time, this all could have been avoided.
While the fitting itself was a great experience, the lack of communication, order errors, and poor service recovery significantly impacted my overall impression. For a premium fitting and custom club experience, I expected much better attention to detail and customer care. There was never an acknowledgement of error or a discussion on a better resolution.
