  Everything was really good just the sauce needed more flavor and pasta was overcooked but even with that I still liked it especially the chicken parm ❤️ our server was amazing 👏 attentive , kind , fast , professional, etc

  My husband & I went in for dinner this evening, we were quickly seated & our waiter was quick to serve. The food was delicious Roasted Garlic Spin dip Creamy Garlic Steak Fettuccine Mario’s Chicken Parmigiana We were so full we couldn’t finish. But for us, what stood out the most for us tonight was our waiter, he was so kind, polite & attentive (I wish I could remember his name) 10/10 tonight Eastsides

  Had not been to East side Mario’s in Waterloo for about 10 years and honestly I couldn’t tell you why we stopped going ….. To start with we were shown to a table that had not been cleaned and my silverware was dirty. We moved ourselves to another table and requested a new set of utensils (no concern or apologies from staff). I ordered a Calzone, my wife ordered spaghetti and meatballs. We waited for approx 20 minutes for our food and were finally told that they were experiencing equipment issues with the pizza oven and our meals would arrive soon. I understand… stuff happens. When our meals arrived about 10 minutes later my wife’s pasta was barely luke warm as it was likely dished up and sitting there, waiting to be served whenever my meal was ready. After cutting into my calzone I found that it was cooked on the outside but the inside was raw dough. I called over our server and had the dish taken away. I was offered a replacement but had now lost my appetite. The manager did come to our table to offer his apologies (and nothing more) however he was wearing so much aftershave it was offensive. In closing, I now realize why we stopped going there 10 years ago and do not intend on returning anytime soon.

  Showed up because we love the bread here, and they tell us they have none, how is a restaurants whose staple is their free bread and their out of it. Absolutely rediculous. And then we go to order Alfredo and they have no fettuccine noodles. I should be asking them what I can have not them asking me what I’m having.

  Sedra Q. is an amazing server. She was kind, attentive, and made sure we always had enough to eat. She is one of the most amazing servers we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The food was warm, delicious, and soooo filling. Always love coming here as we end up with a second meal when we leave. Great atmosphere and lots of families. Perfect for our family of five.
