This store was my favourite store for such a long time! It started with future shop and continued As Best Buy, but It seems like this world does not want me to have a favourite store? The new set up Does not provide good flow. I recently went to buy some speakers and they did not have a regular home for them. They had to go in the back and make me wait for at least five minutes just to have a look at them. At the starting of this visit I mentioned another product that I want to look at and the salesperson totally forgot. So I went and looked at something else and when I got to the counter, they thought I was complaining about something. If they weren’t so hell, bet on having conversations with other staff, they might’ve figured out when I was looking for.
This is the second time I’ve had this awkward experience at this specific store and I’m about to tell my family members to stop giving me gift cards for this place!
I’ve been through many courses and seminars due to the fact I was in retail for 15 years, a manager for 7 of those 15 years and ultimately what I’m trying to tell you here is get your stores in order because you’re gonna be the next Staples!
This store never had a full inventory, but you always felt welcome! Just sad it’s become more of a garage sale than an experience!
When shopping online at bestbuy watch for third party.. there is no indication that any products are third party. Went into bestbuy to order and maybe save on shipping by sending the item to the store, found out that the product is third party , so if theres a problem with the product, its third party you have to deal with.
Bestbuy raised their prices put in a third party so people will pay the ridiculous prices so they dont have to deal with a third party.
Corporate greed at its best, dont buy.
The five star review is for Jazmine, and not for Best Buy themselves.
I bought an A/C unit from them a few years back. It stopped working and I didn't have my e-receipt. I couldn't even find the purchase in my online account. Called Best Buy's toll free number (you can't call stores anymore) and got the major runaround. They passed the buck and made me travel from Iroquois Falls to Timmins.
She was beyond helpful and went above and beyond to help me. She had to assist other customers at the same time and help staff and was professional to everyone.
She went to speak to another manager to try and find a solution. That meant emailing Best Buy's financial department to try and find the receipt.
Jazmine called me at home for a follow up, on Father's Day of all days. I was beyond impressed by her customer service and attention to detail.
Now here's where it takes a turn. The financial department never did a follow up, and nearly four weeks past from the initial email to a short, one line reply providing me with my receipt. They never replied to my own follow up. I went through the worst heat of our summer without A/C, and it was 28 C in my house. Not much fun.
Jazmine should be a corporate trainer for Best Buy. It would be a shame to lose her in Timmins, and other stores and the company as a whole can become a better operation with someone like her showing people how to act and work with customers.
Best Buy's corporate took a hit in my eyes, and Jazmine is the reason why I'll continue to shop at their store.

As useful and helpful as the people that work here are. I wish they would stop trying to upsell. Makes me crazy. I wasted over a hour while they tried over and over again to run a transaction that wouldn't work. Just doing the same thing each time without listening to me to remove the add on. As a tech space too, maybe some troubleshooting lessons would help too. As soon as they removed what I asked them to it worked, just not the way I wanted it to. I'm still waiting for my refund, and while I do I have no money to eat, kind of regretting my purchase at this point.
Poor customer service.... walked around the store for over 10 minutes looking for assistance...only one other customer in store (also not being assisted). Did see 3 employees on their phones behind counter and 2 chatting in an office. No one looked up. No wonder people shop online. :(
