I arrived at 7:45pm with the opening hour listed closes at 9:00pm
I was told that the kitchen was closed.
the waiter was nice
The food was amazing, with all you can eat soup, salad, and bread. The service was amazing, servers came around often.
We ordered some cheese cappelletti the other night. The pasta was cooked fine but the lack of sauce and cheese was lacking big time. Wife had to wip up some sauce and add much more cheese.
We are gonna stick with the wife's from now on
Food was decent but the service was horrible. It was very hard to call servers over when we needed something because most of them pretend they don’t see you and walk away. The restaurant was empty when we were there so there should have been no reason for it to be this difficult to call a server over. To the owner of this restaurant: TRAIN YOUR WORKERS BETTER! This must be the reason your restaurant is getting more empty by the DAY😂.
Long time customer of this East Side Mario’s, and really wanted this restaurant to succeed. We came since pre covid and love the location and decor. I am not here to dump on this restaurant as I think the manager here is nice as are some waitresses/waiters. Many times it’s the service that makes up 50% of your experience here and over the years we’ve had many great experiences. However, everything seems to be falling apart slowly and some long time waitresses don’t seem happy. They’re always in a rush it seems but not to serve you or take the time to listen to your needs. The food portions are getting smaller, the sauce portion is less, slightly colder, and refills come with a frown. I won’t name names because it’s not fair. It’s a job, and it’s high stress work; I understand. But it’s these little things that honestly don’t add really that much to the bottom line that makes or breaks the experience and how you lose return customers. An extra spoonful of sauce, a few extra strands of pasta, a smile from the server. I understand inflation has upped the cost of everything, but smiles are free. Unhappy staff are clearly visible to customers. It becomes a very stressful experience for everyone, especially customers who feel like they’re being blamed for asking for a refill just by their server’s concerned look. I used to recommended this place to others, bring friends and family here, sometimes come twice a month, pay generous tips. But I can’t find myself coming back. I went from giving all 5 stars to 4.. to 3.. and the same problematic issues or people involved. I hope management takes this as genuine feedback from a loyal customer that wants to see them succeed and find the little things back again. Good luck!
