  The waiter never came to take our order; they were walking around the dining room a lot but didn’t even look in our direction. We were seated at a table, but no one came to take our order. I’d been to a similar restaurant in Peterborough before, and the service there was excellent. I was pleasantly surprised—unlike my experience at this place.

  We had a reservation at 8pm. Sat at 815 to a dirty table not even wiped had to ask for it to get cleaned. Waited till our toddler was asking for a drink to ask for someone to get us drinks at 845. 30 mins after being sat. Then 9pm they brought us 2 bread that was frozen sent it back got a soup that was cold. Came back at 915 with 3 more bread that were frozen. The girl had to feel it and she herself was in disbelief.

  We used to love coming to East Side Mario's, but management seems to have stopped maintaining the place. Our table was sticky, the floor felt uneven, and my food was actually served on a chipped plate. While the food tasted as expected and the staff were polite and doing their best, the environment needs work. I really hope they invest in updating this location, we would love to make it a regular spot for our family dinners again.

  I’ve been to several Mario’s locations across Ontario, but this was by far the worst. The seats and starter plates were dirty. The garlic bread was stale and chewy, and the Budda Boomers were overcooked and almost burnt. The linguini chicken tetrazzini and the kids meal were good as well as the chicken parm, however the spaghetti that came with the parm lacked flavor with little to no sauce. Service was also quite disappointing. My family received their food on-time but I was left waiting for my food 30 minutes after they received their food. I looked around and all the people seated after me had already got their food. All this time for what? A club wrap? This should take the least amount of time. I had to follow up twice and the response was "yeah, i don't know what happened, sorry the chef is still making it". I ended up canceling after waiting nearly an hour and ended up walking out hungry. Overall I'm extremely dissapointed given that all my other visits to Mario’s at the Burlington location and others have always been good.

  Overall we had a really good meal and experience here. We ordered one meal from the special roasted garlic menu and it was delicious! All the food we had was great, although they forgot to include mushrooms in one of our meals but they apologized and offered to fix it. And they didn't have any tomato soup ready for the soup or salad, so our vegetarian had to choose salad. Which was good too, but really wanted the soup. They offered to make the soup but we had to wait 15mins for it while everyone else was eating their italian wedding soup. So we opted for the salad. The location is great, in a busy area with other entertainment places all around. Great spot to eat before heading to the movies! Service was good too. The two people helping us did a great job. Overall it's a really nice ESM location, they just needed to be a little more ready in the kitchen, but I would definitely return here when I find myself in that area again!
