  We love East Sides and heading to a concert in London so thought this would be a great decision. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We waited 1 hour for our main courses. People came in after us and were fed before. When our food arrived there was a hair on the plate. The server was great to apologize and tried to make it right. The manager did not even bother to come over and check on the table. Took another 15 to get our bill. Glad we came for the calamari Diablo but that was the only highlight of our experince.

  My husband and I always come here once during our trip to Canada as I have family here. My husband got the roasted garlic Alfredo and was eating it, ended up eating half of it trying to convince himself it was good (it’s what he normally gets) I tried it myself, and it tasted sour like the garlic had gone bad or something He felt weird about wanting to send it back because he had eaten so much of it already really trying to convince himself that it was fine. Also when we came in, with a baby, no one offered us a high chair and everytime we tried to ask for one, servers would walk away so my husband had to go find one himself.

  The food portion sizes were incredibly small it was a let down to be paying so much for food that felt cooked from frozen and sat under a heat lamp for some time and for everything to be so under sized and this was a celebration lunch/Dinner we pick Eastside due to always remembering great things it's unfortunate that it seems to be going downhill and to be met with some rather very rude and unprofessional comments from what we assume to be the manager.

  We visited East Side Mario’s on 30th may around 5:30 PM. Overall, our experience was okay and the food was enjoyable. However, one thing really stood out and was disappointing. The manager who came to our table appeared to smell strongly of alcohol and I could also smell it on his breath while he was speaking with us.He have some tattoos . Throughout our visit, he was frequently yelling toward the kitchen, and his face appeared very red. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere in the restaurant. My 12-year-old child even asked, “Is he drunk? Why is he yelling?” We spent much of our drive home discussing the situation because it was so unusual and unprofessional. This was the first time I’ve experienced something like this in a restaurant. While the food and overall service were good, the manager’s behaviour left a negative impression on our visit.

  I usually don't leave negative reviews, I just never return. However, I feel compelled to leave a review about our experience at this location on Friday May 22, 2026. Started with the server bringing the bread plate with a knife and butter but no bread! Lol! She said it was in the oven. Then when it was ready she brought it out with tongs from the kitchen! I just find that funny. No plate, just tongs! Then the salad came having large pieces of lettuce and brown edges on the lettuce. Fingerprints on the sides of the bowls of salad. Dirty side plates. Sent the salad back and came back better but still had brown lettuce pieces. Then the artichoke dip came and the bread that came with it was overcooked on the bottom. There was lots of oil on the top of the dip as well. Let the server know about the bread and they brought us a new one. Then one of the managers came out to talk to us about the salad. Honestly, it was likely the worst explanation of why there would be large pieces of lettuce, lettuce core and brown lettuce in the customers salad I have ever heard! We ordered two pizzas for the mains and they were decent. Then the other manager came out to speak with us. His approach was decent and he tried his best to offer a solution to appease our negative experience. He removed the dip from the bill and gave us desert to go on the house which we didn't take. The restaurant atmosphere left something to be desired as well. While the dining room was less than half full, the kitchen sounded slammed! Sounding so much busier than it should be for that many people. It sounded like they were cooking and plating for 1000 people! Could hear the manager and all the commotion going on in the kitchen. Overall, our experience was not good at all. The first manager's salad explanation was something a child would say who has not been educated in guest service, and it still has me laughing! Anyway, would not recommend this restaurant. It has been a very long time since I had been in an Eastside Mario's and I will never go back. Eating out is expensive so the food and the service need to be excellent.
