Bought a floor model TV and sales rep told me that they couldn’t give me a product discount, they could only give me a four year warranty valued at $280. Bought it and later noticed on my bill that the TV was discounted $280 and the warranty was billed at the full $280 price. I went to return the warranty part to get the discount I should’ve been given on the TV in the first place and was denied by the store manager. It’s some scammy scheme to inflate their commission. Really weird experience for a Best Buy. Returned the whole TV and warranty.
Awful experience here. I came here today to look at laptops and I had one in mind I just needed some more information and details on it before I made the purchase. I was waiting in the laptop section for about 25 minutes before one of the workers finally decided to help me. But she sent me someone who had absolutely no knowledge on the computer I wanted and he thinks it was a great idea to ask chat gpt about the computer. Like are you serious. I’m asking him simple questions like battery life or how long this sale is going on for and he said “I have absolutely no idea”. That was RIDICULOUS. Then MID conversation he decides to go help someone else and leaves me stranded there for like 10 minutes so I go up to someone asking if they can bring someone else who actually knows what the hell they are talking about. Then someone shows up and she also had no idea what she was talking about. She made me more confused than the first person, not to mention she was also very rude to me with an insane attitude and extremely unhelpful. I’m very disappointed, I need a new laptop for school and I came here hoping to gain some information before making a big purchase like this and I left with more questions than answers. Absolutely ridiculous to let workers like this interact with customers who are just trying to gain a little knowledge. This is some of the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced.

I wanted to send a shout-out to the Geek Squad! I came in basically believing I was going to need to purchase a new laptop or maybe have to get a part installed, both of which would have been expensive fixed. But they troubleshooted and in the end found me a simple and cheap solution. (I should have gotten their names, but I was there July 31st between 1-2pm). Not to mention I was there with my 13 month old who was wandering around creating havoc everywhere she went and the staff were sooooo lovely to her. Even one of the young staff members stocking shelves, as she pulled a bunch of things off shelves just as I was reaching for her he said "it's not big deal, she's a baby, she's exploring, I'll clean it up, no problem". Very kind.
Canada Computers wanted to charge me a diagnostic fee just to look at my laptop and Geek Squad did it for free. Will always bring my laptop back here.
Thanks again Geek Squad!!! Couldn't be more happy with the result of my visit the other day. Lifesavers!
My mother was scammed. Went in to get a laptop and at first they came off extremely helpful.. until it came time to pay, where they turned extremely pushy and condescending. They insisted she needs the warranty plan that is a monthly payment, saying it can be canceled at any time. She declined but they kept pushing that it was a necessity. The worker then had who she called her manger over, saying he could give a “better deal”. He offered $50 off and a free mouse. She finally agreed. However looking at the receipt the mouse was never free AND he added an additional charge for a mouse warranty she never asked for or agreed to that is also a year long payment. The mouse was only (on sale) $17 why would they add a warranty that in a year would equate to around $65. Let alone do that without her consent. That is downright horrible, shady customer service.
this had to be the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I went in ready to spend thousands on a gaming laptop. as I'm browsing I find one for an astronomical price and flag down an associate to scoop it up. he proceeds to tell me that it's a discontinued model and they don't have anymore. okay fine so I offer to buy the demo model. I'm told No they don't sell the demos, because the products company pays them to display it. which is fine and all but why 1. display a model that's not available and discontinued, and 2. have the spec and price sheet beside it if it's not for sale? after arguing with the employee for 10 minutes he goes to ask his supervisor. mm supervisor proceeds to tell me that they don't sell demos, and after I explained that the price sheet was there beside it how could he say it's not for sale. anyways after more arguing they reluctantly agree to sell it to me but not at a discount but a markup because they would make more from the company displaying it than what i would get it for. blow back I demanded money off for an open box item ( which is the normal thing I thought) he blatantly said no but they would match the price listed beside it
I told them I'm not paying sticker price for a demo that's been running non stop for who knows how long. and the associate replied then go shop somewhere else.... What kind of customer service is this!?!?
Not only was he rude and arrogant but was willing to throw away thousands of dollars business. needless to say I asked for a manager or someone above them, who was much more polite but offered a slapnonnthe face, I had to argue with him for 10 minutes to get offered $100 off the price. and even that was reluctant.... I was not thanked for my business and after paying almost $2000 was handed a laptop no box no cords, nothing just a laptop. I had to ask them to get me a charger for it and the associate looked at me like I was asking for all the money in the store or something and said he wasn't sure if it was included.... are you friggin kidding me?!! a laptop with no charger for almost $2000 before I could say a word a polite young lady said she would go and check on it for me. and after waiting another 15-20 minutes came out with a charger. they offered me a bag big enough for the charger and not the laptop as well and I declined and left the store. I've never gone through such a hassle and piss poor customer service ever in my life and I'd think twice before shipping here. you can find better deals online and if I didn't need the computer for the next morning I would have shopped online.
