  Standards have noticeably dropped here. As former weekly regulars, we stopped visiting a while ago and unfortunately, today's visit confirmed why. The service was highly disappointing and the food quality was unacceptable. Specifically, the pasta was dry, the lettuce in the salad was wilted to the point of spoiling, and the pizza was served undercooked with raw mushrooms.

  I haven’t been to East Sides in some time, as my last experience was quite bad. I decided to give it another chance at the Gloucester location, and everything was excellent. Our server Ky was very attentive, respectful, and courteous. We were quite demanding considering the unlimited bread, and salad, haha. He was able to keep up, we weren’t left without food for very long. The beer was ice cold, and dessert was even better. We will certainly make a return in the near future!

  The staff were very nice to our grandchildren, and I want to give them credit for that. The kids were made to feel welcome, and the children’s menu was pretty much what you would expect. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the adult food. We have eaten in restaurants on two continents and this was, without exaggeration, among the worst food we have ever been served. My “Caesar salad” consisted of lettuce — some of it actually rotten — some sort of dressing and “croutons”. That was it. It was genuinely abysmal and certainly not something I would expect a restaurant to serve to a paying customer. We also ordered sparkling water and instead received a sweet canned drink containing an astonishing 31 grams of sugar. Not remotely what we had asked for. It’s a shame, because the staff’s attitude towards the children was lovely and our grandchildren were happy. But adults presumably deserve edible food too. Based on our meals, we certainly wouldn’t return.

  I had an amazing experience at East Side Mario’s thanks to Lisa! From the moment we arrived, she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect throughout our visit. Lisa was always checking in at the right times, making sure our drinks were filled, our food arrived exactly as ordered, and that we had everything we needed. Her positive attitude and genuine kindness made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Even when the restaurant was busy, she stayed professional, organized, and made us feel like a priority. What really stood out was how much she cared about providing great service. She was knowledgeable about the menu, answered all of our questions with a smile, and made excellent recommendations. It’s clear that she takes pride in her work and truly wants her guests to have a great experience. Outstanding customer service like Lisa’s is hard to find, and she is a huge asset to East Side Mario’s. Because of her, our visit was memorable, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you, Lisa, for your exceptional service and for making our meal so enjoyable!

  We had an unplanned stop here for dinner on August 5, 2026. My husband wasn't feeling it but it had been a very long time since I have been to ESM so we went in. We were greeted immediately and told they were just cleaning up a table for us. My husband was LITERALLY heading to the door saying come on let's go home, when a young man said hey your table is ready! So we sat down. Very quickly our waiter Mathieu came to ask us about drinks. He was so friendly, helpful and promptly brought water as well. He told us about the special which was buy one take one home! I also got salad and when it came the waiter said he was concerned there might not be enough dressing and offered to bring more. The manager RC stopped by to thank us for coming in and chatted for a few seconds. Service has been so poor in restaurants the last few years we haven't even enjoyed going out, but this was such a treat!! Every staff member was smiling and helping. We never had to ask for anything as the waiter was so proactive! The main course was garlic Alfredo pasta with chicken and honestly the flavor was amazing!! When we were almost done, another manager (didn't catch his name) said hello. We felt like VIPs!! We were offered desserts but were too full. The waiter made sure we got our CAA discount (which we didn't know about) and our scene points (which we also didn't know about) and left with our two free take home dinners. I cannot say enough about this place. It's not super fancy but it's fun, delicious and the service, value hits the mark in 2026! The group of staff were singing to birthday folks. We were saying that the management must be great when all the staff seem this happy. We cannot wait to go go back with our family.
