    WILL NOT RETURN. Got here around 7, maybe an hour before close. Took us about 10 minutes to find what we wanted. My son’s been saving up his own money for a gaming headset he’s wanted for weeks. He finally grabbed it and the guy goes “card or cash?” He’s a kid….Obviously he doesn’t have a card. So I said cash. And that’s when they tell us they can’t take cash, it has to be card. I’m sorry but half your customers are kids buying video games with the money they’ve saved up. How do you not take cash? So we left. Canada Computers is literally right across the street, and they took our money no problem. Customer for life now. Won’t be back at Best Buy unless I really have no other choice. Canada Computers actually cares. Best Buy couldn’t care less.

    I brought my laptop to this shop for a battery replacement (using a battery I provided). Unfortunately, the service experience was extremely disappointing due to a total lack of transparency and professionalism. Communication was poor from the start—they failed to call me as promised, and the phone number they provided was unreachable. When I arrived in person, they even showed me a 'call log' sheet to prove they had reached out, but it was completely fabricated—no one ever called. Instead of an honest explanation, I was met with illogical excuses. Rather than taking the time to properly assess the new issues that arose with my laptop (which were not there before), they simply made guesses and blamed the battery without providing a real, professional evaluation. Even if the battery I provided was the cause of the problem, that is not the point; I was looking for transparency to understand the situation, not a cheap fix or a string of excuses. I felt their only goal was to get me out the door as quickly as possible rather than taking responsibility. Ultimately, I discovered that the reassembly of my laptop was done carelessly. I value honesty—had they simply told me the truth about what was happening, I would have understood. However, the reliance on excuses, the lack of transparency, and the use of fictitious documentation made this a very poor experience. While the pricing might be fair, the service is simply not worth it.

    Follow up on my last review, my original review plus a response from best buy is provided. I was told to contact them but with that came nothing, I was told there was nothing they can do at all.

    Absolutely terrible. I called Best Buy’s customer service phone line and asked about a trade in. I provided all the information and everything to the person and was told I should get $200 for my laptop. I even clarified the model and everything to make sure it wasn’t too old. When I get to the store closest to me I was told that they couldn’t take the laptop cause it was too old. (Update) I contacted Best Buy support and was told there was nothing they can do. I received a response from the review asking me to contact them. But when I did, they had nothing to say or do. So I’m still left with no solution and wasted my time and gas yesterday and 25 minutes today talking with people who can’t help.

    Nothing wrong with the customer service itself but the whole process was insane. I bought a gaming laptop online, paid for it online because my card can pay that much online but not in person. Went to go pick it up, they needed two pieces of ID and even put hem under a thing to make sure they were real (seemed way too excessive to me). Then because it was a high priced item they made me refund it and rebuy it in store. So I had to split the payment between two cards and I didnt even get the refund right away so im left for the rest of the day with zero spending money since i maxxed out my cards. Next day and I still dont have my refund. I have very little money in my account and without that refund I literally cant do anything without going broke. Awful experience, will try to avoid best buy in the future. (edit: 4 days later, still no refund money) Also that website does not solve the issue, the issue is that I had to refund something I had already bought and don't have that refund money still, even though I was told it would be immediate -_-
