  I went to your store on Sat July18 to look for a new TV and was assisted by Matteo. This young man was such a great help to me very knowledgeable about TVs. I decided on a 43" Samsung.   I trusted Geek Squad/Ontrack with my Seagate Passport drive that held over 3,000 irreplaceable photos and videos of my family. They had my device for months — from April until July — and the only update I received was a single word: “unrepairable.” No explanation, no diagnostic details, no communication, and no breakdown of what was actually attempted. Getting my drive back with no answers was devastating. These memories mean everything to me. Out of desperation, I went in person to CBL Data Recovery in Ontario. The owner took the time to explain the real mechanical damage and what should have been done from the start. CBL was transparent, showed me the process, and immediately offered more effort and clarity than I ever received from Ontrack. Unfortunately, because Ontrack already handled the drive, the cost for CBL to attempt recovery is now significantly higher and non‑refundable — and there is still no guarantee anything can be recovered. This entire experience has been extremely stressful and heartbreaking. I wish I had known to go directly to a proper clean‑room data recovery lab instead of relying on Geek Squad/Ontrack. The lack of communication and effort has made an already painful situation even worse. I’m sharing this so others understand how important it is to choose the right recovery service from the beginning, especially when your memories are on the line.

  Just spoke to a salesman regarding a tablet we found the model I wanted in the glass case. It was highly discounted, which wouldn't be the first time something has been discounted heavily here. Thought this was a great deal. When he walked me up with the device and rang it through it was several hundred more than the ticket price. Mind you several other of the same model were also stacked above this price. Had I not been paying attention I would have swiped my card and not known until my statement. Greasy sales tactics, or honest mistake? They told me the best they could do was $10 off and mentioned that older people can't seem to read anymore. And the tag showed a different model. Well. I'm one of those older people. My eyesight isn't the best and didn't compare the tag and the stack of tablets above it. Nothing like thinking you found a deal only to be insulted and essentially told the tags don't matter.
