  Never buy an electronic gift card from Golf Town. I bought a Golf Town gift card on-line for my sister for her birthday, July 28th. She's 1000 km. away so an e-gift card seemed like a good idea. It was not. The e-gift card was labeled CELEBRATE DAD in prominent graphic lettering. Groan! Reluctantly I trekked to the Golf Town retail outlet 7 km. away for help. But they did not want to help. I tried to buy a physical Golf Town gift card with my e-gift card. Not allowed! An unsympathetic female cashier flatly refused to process my gift card purchase, adamantly backed by a loud-mouthed store manager. It's against store policy they insisted. Why? No reason. Go back to the website, I was scolded. Request help through the on-line channel. The retail stores and website are entirely separate enterprises, everyone knows, they chided. Huh? Okay then. Good to know. In future I will buy nothing at all at Golf Town and will advise every golfer I know to do the same. It's bad enough that Golf Town procedures are an anti-human gauntlet, but worse, you get zero sympathy or useful advice from their staff. "Leave us alone", is the clear message. Sure. Never again will I shop at Golf Town.

  I recently purchased a new set of irons from Golf Town and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. When I was in the store, there was very little assistance available. The only employee who was able to help me appeared to be quite new and didn't seem very knowledgeable about the clubs or fitting process. I wasn't given an opportunity to properly test the irons, and when I asked about the shaft flex, I was told they were regular shafts. After purchasing the clubs, I later discovered that they are actually stiff shafts, which is not what I wanted and not what I was told at the time of sale. As a customer spending a significant amount of money on new equipment, I expected more knowledgeable guidance and accurate information. Had I known the clubs were fitted with stiff shafts, I likely would have chosen a different set or explored other options better suited to my game. Overall, I'm disappointed with the level of service and the misinformation I received during the purchase process.

  I visited Golf Town last week with the thought of purchasing either a Titleist fairway wood or hybrid. Terry was very patient with me and set up a selection of clubs to choose from. He also offered some helpful golf tips when he saw me testing the clubs. We settled on the hybrid. Thank you Terry.

  The place is filthy, unorganized and there is a female worker there that should never deal with costumers. If you do ask the staff a question they have zero clue on what you need or where anything is. Definitely not up to the standards I’ve seen any other golf town. If I owned this there would be huge changes and fast. The guy at the register was awesome though.
