  Only stayed for 1 night but was very impressed. I left before buffet opened, but breakfast was ready for me at front desk. Also, had an issue getting to hotel from my job site (no taxi or uber options in Chemanus). Two incredibly nice people named Kayla and Hesham organized a pick up and drove me back to hotel. This was above and beyond excellent. Thanks so much.

  The manager was disgusting. There were desperate evacuees from the Summerland fires and they refused to rent to to them because of a simple pet cat kept in a crate.

  What a surprising find! Needed a last minute hotel for a spontaneous motorcycle trip to Salt Spring island and lucked out finding this gem along the way. Excellent, attentive and knowledgeable staff, clean room, amazingly well appointed gym and decent pool and hot tub. Breakfast included was such a bonus with a good selection of items and hot food refilled promptly. Highly recommend!

  Our baseball team reserved approximately a dozen rooms through our team manager. We checked in at approximately 7:00 p.m. on July 11. When the bookings were made, we understood there would be no additional charge for a third guest in a room with two queen beds. At check-in, we were informed that an extra charge would apply. The issue was not the additional fee itself if that was the hotel's policy. Rather, it was the manner in which it was communicated. The gentleman who checked us in, who I believe was the supervisor, came across as abrasive and dismissive. His tone of voice, body language, and overall approach conveyed little concern that an unexpected charge might be frustrating for a guest. There was no effort to acknowledge our confusion or show empathy for the situation. Based on conversations with other families on our team, this was not an isolated experience. Several had similar interactions and left with the same impression. If he was indeed the supervisor, I found the experience particularly disappointing. A supervisor should set the standard for customer service, yet this interaction suggested the opposite. I believe additional customer service training would be beneficial, particularly in communication, empathy, and handling situations where guests receive unexpected news. I do want to acknowledge that, aside from the check-in experience, our stay was enjoyable. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The complimentary breakfast was excellent, and our boys had a great time using the pool. Those aspects of our stay reflected well on the hotel and were appreciated by our team. First impressions matter, and the person welcoming guests should help them feel valued and respected. Unfortunately, that was not the experience our group had. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as improving the check-in experience would make the overall stay as positive as the rest of what your hotel has to offer.
