Arrived at the hotel and asked for a room by the pool. I changed my mind quickly as it was noisy and there were guests smoking very close by. This is a non-smoking hotel. I returned to the desk and requested that I be moved. I was accommodated to a room closer to the lobby. The front desk ladies were accommodating and lovely. I had a conversation with a lady at the front desk about the hotel smoking policy on the grounds. Guests should not be smoking anywhere close to the rooms. I'm extremely allergic to smoke and can't stay in a hotel that allows smoking on the property at all. It's disappointing that those guests who smoke are allowed to ruin it for everyone else.

Breakfast was very satisfying, beautiful and bright breakfast room.
Beds were full of pillows and super comfy. Unfortunately, someone neglected to fill the body soap in shower so that was disappointing. However, gym was clean, front desk staff were accommodating so the pros outweighed the cons!
We'll be back!
Parking is free.
Breakfast is above average than your standard Continental in a 3 star hotel.
Rooms were a bit out dated. If you stay on main floor, you'll hear the people on second floor if they walk a little rougher.
Customer service was above average.
Gym is small but has enough to get your workout done.
I would come here again because it was decent.
It is a safe place.

As other reviews have mentioned, the hotel is motel styled so the rooms lead to the car parks ; hence navigation to the lobby & breakfast room isn't so easy. As other reviews have also mentioned, the bathroom light is outside and the wash basin is not in the bathroom and these are kinda odd.
The room was good. It had a well equipped kitchen however, the oven was a really old one & it took us a while to figure it out. The freezer of the mini fridge didn't freeze food so well. I believe the oven & fridge should be replaced with new ones. Also the room is not very sound proof so you might hear a bit of noise from the next room.
Breakfast is included but the same food is served every day so if you stay here for severally days/weeks you might get tired of the food. Breakfast items are bread, burger buns, muffins, pastries, self-serve pancakes & waffles, yogurt (diff toppings available), potatoes, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs which are annoyingly cold, cereals, oats, fruits, beverages(hot chocolate, juices, tea/coffee). The only thing they changed each day was the sides(day 1- bacon, day 2-sausages, day 3-beef patties). I guess these are standard North American breakfast items so that's fine. Depending on the number of persons, there's might be a bit of queue at the breakfast room & there's usually a queue to use the waffle maker as there's only one.
My family had a good time in the pool. There's a gym as well though we didn't get to use it.
Overall, it was a good stay. I'd recommend if you're looking to visit BC.

We had the worst customer service with Talia. There was confusion about a promotion when we booked online, and when we arrived to check in, we were charged a different rate. We asked Talia about the discrepancy, and as she explained the details, she proceeded to give us the biggest eye roll. As someone working in front desk, representing the company, you shouldn’t be rolling your eyes at clients trying to understand a situation. We’re never returning to beat western Plus if people like Talia treat their customers like this.
