  The waitress was really good. The food was good. One problem we asked about CAA special she did not know anything until we were done, we would have had the veal cutlets on special. No idea. To bad we spent $100.00

  I went to East Side Mario’s for my birthday with my family and, while the food itself was good, the overall experience was really disappointing. There was an issue when the bill came, and instead of it being handled with understanding or even a simple apology, I was told that I had made the choice and had confirmed it, so it was essentially my fault. That felt dismissive, especially given that the server did not seem familiar with the menu and did not even know where the pasta section was. I asked to speak with the manager, and while the issue was eventually addressed, he made a point of telling me that what he was doing was “above and beyond.” I appreciated that something was done, but the way it was handled made the situation feel more uncomfortable than resolved. I also had a birthday voucher for a free meal. I did not want singing, attention, or a big spectacle, but some basic acknowledgement would have gone a long way. Instead, the whole experience left me feeling like my birthday visit was more of an inconvenience than something worth recognizing. What makes it more disappointing is that I believe the manager may also be one of the owners, and I know the other owner. I have supported this location before, unfortunately after this experience, I do not plan on returning.

  Awesome food and service. Most importantly, they hire Canadian youth which is very refreshing. It felt like I was eating out 15 years ago when Canada was a great place to be. I'll be going here very often!

  As a family, we've come here a couple of times recently and it's pretty decent. I do find that it can take a long time on weekends with all the courses available, etc. but the food is pretty good and it's also reasonably priced. Service can be hit or miss. I've had amazing service and often the servers are slammed with tables because the place can get very busy. It's a nice way to spend quality time together, but if you're in a rush, maybe go somewhere else.

  I went for my Birthday dinner. Normally, I have a fantastic meal and great service. However this time was awful. We started with drinks, we ordered, and 2 of the drinks came 30 minutes later,the other 2 came 30 minutes after that. We waited a full hour just for drinks. My husband ordered a beer, a full hour to get a beer??? The budda booms, and soup arrived at the same time. Still no bread. Before we were even through our soup, our main dishes were on the table. Seriously, all the food was dump on the table in a matter of ten minutes. The restaurant didn't seem that busy, so I am not sure what the problem was. I look forward to going here every year for my birthday. I've been celebrating here since 2010. I guess I'll be looking for somewhere new to go. Very disappointed.
