I'll start with the pros and work my way down to the con... 1. I found Alisha and other staff members quite friendly and helpful. I use a walker and even though my husband was with me, she still helped us so that we only had to make one trip to get everything to the room. We had arrived quite late after a long drive so it was nice to have that extra kindness. Then the next morning, we arrived late to breakfast (my misunderstanding of when it was done) and Alisha still went to the back and got us some homemade danishes that she had made. They were delicious! Thank you Alisha!! 2. Room was quite lovely and spacious. Shower was fantastic and I loved the smell of the soap, shampoo and conditioner. 3. Unfortunately, the parking spots are quite small. We drive a truck and barely fit within the lines. 4. Location is OK, just off the Calgary Trail. 5. Now... the bad part. This hotel is not Disability/handicap friendly unfortunately. I have MS and use a walker and I travelled with my dog. Their pet friendly rooms could only be accessed by using a small flight of stairs. Luckily my mobility was good enough that I could climb the stairs using the railing and I had the assistance of my husband and Alisha, a staff member. However, if my MS were a bit worse, I'd not have been able to stay there with my dog. Also, the doors going out to the back of the hotel where we parked our vehicle did not have handicap buttons to push and the doors were difficult and heavy to open. Not sure I'd have been able to open them if I had been alone.

Our receptionist, Jazz, was very friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to whenever we had questions. She was always positive and greeted us with a smile. Shristi was the same when we checked out—she greeted us with a smile and asked if we needed anything or if there was anything she could help us with. We truly appreciated their excellent customer service and will definitely come again!

They gave me a room key for my room but there was already people staying in there and I walked in someone thank god they were out breakfast was terrible experience waffle maker was not grease and waffles stuck in the waffle makers the trays that held eggs hash brown would bag open scaring everyone. I’m pretty sure I was in a double bed not queen nearly fit 2 average size people really didn’t like the location had to get over 4 lanes of traffic to get in without getting hit wasn’t my favourite situation out of this whole experience

The initial room we were checked into had a completely soaked floor which was a mold hazard. We went to the front desk to request to be moved to a new room but our request was refused despite our room being a biohazard. Their reasoning was that they didn't have any rooms of equivalence, and they did not want to upgrade us to a room that was actually safe to sleep in for even one night. No refund or compensation was offered for that night we were forced to stay in the soaked room either. We were finally able to force them to give us a new room the next day but we had to push them very hard for it. Also despite the strict no smoking policy they advertise nearly the entire hotel, at least every floor of rooms, smelled like people had been smoking weed there constantly and no attempts were being made to fix it. There were also multiple other places in the hotel where water was leaking from the ceiling including the lobby and multiple hallways. Housekeeping was also quite lacking, they never cleaned the bathroom beyond replacing the towels and our body wash and hand soap was never refilled despite us notifying the front desk that we were out multiple times. Finally many aspects of the rooms barely functioned, the fan in the bathroom did almost nothing to prevent the bathroom from being filled with steam and the provided irons never got hot enough to work. Many outlets were also extremely loose and items would unplug themselves if they were not held in place the entire time. I would not recommend this hotel for any stays over a night or two

Worst stay every. Would rate Zero stars but not a option. AC didn't work for the 5 nights we stayed here. The windows didn't have a screen so we couldn't even open the window at night to left cold air in and the window lock was damaged. Just got the run around from the manager. At one point she told me my A/C did work. However it was a constant 25 in the room. It 30+ outside the entire stay. The hotel night staff first said we would be compensated, then we were told that since we already had a medical rate (as I was there for two medical appointments) we wouldn't get any discounts for the A/C not working. I then contacted best western corporate office. After another run around the manager gave us a $20 a night discount and again told me she didn't understand the issue as our A/C did work. Which 100% it did not. On the last night we ran into the maintenance guy and he told us that he was never told about our issues. When we were told he was and there was nothing that could be done. The maintenance man also said he had a screen for our room in the basement but would take awhile to find. With it being the last night in this horrible hotel we told him it was OK. The bathroom ceiling also had major water damage. Front desk also lies to customers as they told another family member who checked in that every A/C unit in the building worked. Which there room actually had A/C. They did offer to move us to a room that would not fit our family and then yelled at me for having 2 adults, two kids and a baby in one room. Saying they didn't know and it was against the law. The manager said that if there was a fire the fire department would give me a fine. We all were at the front desk when we checked in and the lady who checked us in was 100% aware. I advised the manager that maybe she needs proper training for her employees if this is not allowed. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. Avoid at all costs. Not worth the hassle and extremely poor customer service. We thought we would give this hotel a chance even though it had poor reviews as it had a family room. WORST MISTAKE. read the reviews and RUN.
