Benn meaning to upgrade my PC and went in with one desktop pc in mind. All the associates that work their departments were very knowledgeable.. they even upsold me on a higher end PC and another one even made a good case to get their protection plan which I opted to.
The huge problem here are the managers. I figured Id go with financing since I decided to buy a higher end PC. The person that helped me worked for a third party (I believe it was intel but not important) so called over a manager to assist me... The manager that was directed to help me just told me to apply online... so why are you there and why did I have to wait for that response? She showed me a QR code and basically said I was on my own because she was super busy. Once again, why even offer to help if you are busy with other customers or whatever work you needed to do? this already made zero sense After spending 10 minutes applying I found someone else to help me and check out. while it had only been 5 minutes, at this point they had scanned the computer and I accepted the protection plan and even signed off with my signature for the plan on their machine, I was struggling to log in and get to the correct section to show the store associate my financing (both ids in hand). This is when another manager came by, didn't even look at me and asked the associate why he was standing around.
I explain my situation and he says "ok we will put the computer in the back until you figure it out". So in my mind we are 99% done here (i already got the preapproved email and everything) and this guy was to take my computer back as in fi i cant log in within the next minutes i might steal the giant desktop PC???? explain this thinking on why you would want to move the PC in the back as the associate and customer are basically checking out the product?
I would say one of those (never have I ever...) ending sentence but honestly its pretty common to see hard working sales associates but managers who are actively working against the company . And cant wait until I get that "we are sorry to hear about your experience..." reply like it matters.

Poor customer service, ordered a phone online and recieved the wrong one so I took it to the store to return and place the order again.
The same mistake happened with the replacement meaning a second trip to the store that I wouldn't have had to go to if everything was correct the first time. Upon second visit to the store I had to wait 5-10 minutes before being helped at customer service despite 3-4 staff members sat talking at the front door. Assessing if the device worked and was eligible for return took another 20 minutes. I was presented with the choice to keep the device I didn't want with 50$ off or a different model again with 50$ off for my troubles. After searching online for 2 minutes I found that staples had the same alternative model 75$ cheaper than best buy.
After being at the customer service desk for 45 minutes and another visit the week before they were only willing to match staples price, nothing to apologize for the consistent errors and lost time.
Ended up going to staples in windermere where the staff were very helpful and got me my new phone within 5 minutes

Had the absolute displeasure of purchasing two phones from this store. The rep, Hesron, was the most condescending and incompetent serviceperson I've ever spoken to. Not only is his technical knowledge subpar, he was rude and even grabbed my hand when asking a question about plans.
Save your money, time, and sanity and purchase mobiles from other stores.

My Name is Laurie I went to the Best Buy in South Edmonton Common to get information on connecting a microscope to a computer and unfortunately received terrible service. Not at all interested in helping me. I decided to get a second opinion and go the Best Buy on Stony Plain Road. Then I met MARCO from the Geek Squad...The service...The Patience and the knowledge I have No words for! This guy was amazing! He went above and beyond me and for that I am grateful. He even gave me his schedule if I need to go see him again! Thank you Marco! A very happy Customer!

I've had so many issues here, and with best buy in general, and honestly don't think I'll ever be back except to use gift cards that I have. Most recently I had to cancel my credit card because somehow upon them signing me up for a mobile protection plan, they linked my phone IMEI under someone else's name, address and contact info. So my phone and credit card are linked under someone else's name. Because I am not this other individual, whom I've never met, best buy refused to cancel the plan as per their policy. Massive pain. Spent two hours at this store trying to resolve the issue, not including time spent on the phone, just to be told I have to go to my bank to dispute the charges. Turns out my card needs to be cancelled entirely and re-issued as best buy will continue to charge the card so long as this other individual doesn't cancel it. Unbelievable that best buy sees no issue with my credit card being linked and charged under someone else's account despite proof that I am not them and have zero affiliation. I understand not cancelling a random person's protection plan, but do they seriously expect me to pay someone else's bill for their mistake during set up?! At least take my card off their file. They advertise this protection plan as easy to cancel - cancel at anytime, except they made it impossible for me to do so. I should not have to go to such extreme measures to stop being charged monthly for a service I was supposed to be able to cancel and supposedly doesn't even belong to me. I feel scammed and completely let down by everyone I interacted with at this store and over the phone. This is only one of many issues I've encountered and as a result I will never recommend this store again.
