Very disappointing experience at Best Buy. I was eligible for the phone, but the employee still refused to provide it to me. The whole experience was frustrating and I felt that I was not properly helped or given a clear explanation.
I expected much better customer service from Best Buy. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this location.

This is my usual Best Buy. Never had anything but good experiences there. Yes, they are sometimes busy, but I'm okay waiting when you like the place.
But today, I went in for a return. I was aware that I would be receiving store credit/exchange. They were very busy and Kay was the one ensuring everything was going as fast as possible while training 2 new staff!
Kudos to Kay and her hard work today!
I personally wouldn’t recommend going in this location. I was planning to buy a camera as a birthday gift for myself and the customer service is very disappointing. Some of my friends have warned me that they had a terrible experience specifically in the Shawnessy location, but I thought it might not always be the same experience for everyone and just give them a chance. Unfortunately it didn’t go well. First thing I noticed is that a young lady would accommodate you but then pass you to costumer service and when you get to customer service. The older lady wouldn’t even greet you nicely, I haven’t finished my sentences yet and she already replied with a “can you just go to the other staff with the blue shirt” in a very demanding and impolite voice. When the other staff tried to help us he really didn’t know anything much about the product he was showing us. Don’t waste your time going here!

Today's visit at Northland Mall:
Words have not yet been communicated as I was told, so I was able to cancel Worst Buy's 3 year extended warranty and finally get the $70 adjusted pricing on my latest purchase. In fact, the managing staff made an inadvertent mistake and made an $80 refund instead of $70, and once I brought that to the manager's attention, I was told it was fine. In that respect I've gone ahead and made changes accordingly to Best Buy Northland Mall's Google review rating. There is no way to make fractional changes to the stars; that's where that full star came into being. Having said that, that's a fine gesture in service as even robots excel in making product sale.

Well,Sir/Madam, I did as recommended but also went far and beyond by asking a Best Buy staff member at a different branch to place this call to customer service. It turns out that Best Buy has gone as far as letting computer systems and machines to go as far far extending customer service. They said the system does not allow price adjustment; I am required to return to the branch where I placed my original purchase. Very well; so, please inform the team of staff to prepare return of my purchase of 3 year extended warranty for $59.99, as well as price adjustment for the $70 drop in price of the A/C. when I visit tomorrow. To the management team, please inform that if they really want to compensate me for delivery, return $379.99 (FedEx delivery price for two deliveries I did by hiring a truck and a driver..). As for the regional managers: price for the troubles I've been through for weeks can of course be compensated also: $3,799.90. As for my Google reviews, I can certainly try to reflect these without the time of pain and agony I had to endure and step your star up a nodge at a price of: $37,990.00 per Google review. To the Head manager of Best buy Canada, of course I can replace my reviews altogether rather than taking all these machinary troubles and human errors to the court: $379,900.00; last but not least, to Best Buy CEO, I can certainly accommodate your request of a job offer at an initiation price of: $3,799,000.00 over a few years contract in addition to a negotiable contract based on hourly wage/commission to represent Best Buy in Canada in the same and similar ways as was Future Shop PRIOR to Best Buy's purchase and acquisition of this company.
Please feel free to contact me any time during the week day working hours,
Kindly,
John David Jonson

Originally:
After much complications, I had to hire a driver and a pick up to drop off the beat up unit and pick up another unit that was apparently picked up at this location. I am told that this 14000 BTU unit (minimum capacity I need..) I picked up today is the only unit left in all best buy locations in the city. I am having trouble nearly all the with this unit which does not appear to work as good as the other beat up unit I recieved in delivery. I am very dissatisfied with my most recent experiences purchasing from Best Buy. Unlike the past 25 years when I had phenomenal experience purchasing from Best Buy, the company does not live up it is minimum promises. 8 placed my purchase last week. This week, price of the same unit had dropped by $70. I was not even offered to receive the difference in my purchasing price today, as though I had a satisfactory experience with my purchase last week. Not by any conceivable measure..
I would like to strongly doubt that my most recent experiences are related to being a subject to: race, colour, sex and gender identification. That being said, Best Buy is more certainly than not applying an extremist form of double standard policy in place towards the less fortunate but worse individuals with any forms of disability. I had previously brought to the attention of management that I suffer from a serious medical complication by presenting my doctor's note. I benefit from the government disability program but that has come at the expense of being subject to Best Buy's discriminatory practices. I am EXTREMELY dissatisfied with Best Buy.

I’ve never been eager to shop here after a previous experience with a large appliance order. I waited three months for delivery, only to finally go into the store and be told it had already been delivered and there was nothing they could do. A week later they somehow “found” it. I took my business elsewhere.
This time I only came in because I needed an Apple product in a pinch.
At checkout, Peyton asked if I wanted my receipt printed or emailed. I said, “Printed, please—I want to keep it with the box.” As he handed it to me with both hands clutching it he said, “Here’s your personal tree.”
I actually laughed because it caught me off guard, but it also felt like an unnecessary little lecture over a single receipt. If someone wants a printed receipt for warranty or return purposes, maybe just hand it over without the environmental commentary. Like seriously kid how many skip the dishes bags do you have piling up at home. lol.
