I experienced an absolute disregard for customer time and a total lack of communication at this location.
On Sunday evening, my friend went into the Langley clearance centre to find a TV for himself. While he was there, I asked him to check if they had a 50-inch Frame TV in stock. Working directly with a sales associate named Edward, my friend located two of them and sent me a photo. I confirmed over the phone that I wanted one and let them know I was immediately driving from North Vancouver (a 45-minute trip) to pick it up. I gave my exact GPS arrival time of 6:46 PM, just before closing, so Edward knew I was in transit. My friend then continued shopping for his own TV while Edward was aware of the plan.
My friend eventually left the store around 6:30 PM after confirming everything was set and Edward was expecting me. Had anyone mentioned that they couldn't hold the TV for the 15 minutes between my friend leaving and my arrival, I would have gladly had my friend pay for it before he walked out.
I arrived right at 6:46 PM. Edward was busy with another customer, so I spoke to the manager, who had me wait. Edward told the manager he was tied up, so the manager tried to locate the TV himself. Neither unit could be found. When Edward finally finished with his customer and checked, he couldn't find them either. With only two staff members on the floor, both units somehow vanished in the brief window after my friend left.
Instead of taking accountability for poor communication, the manager shrugged it off, stating they "don't hold TVs." When I pointed out that Edward knew I was actively en route from North Vancouver specifically for that unit, both employees simply dismissed it and suggested I drive back out on Saturday to see if they restock.
Wasting an hour and a half round-trip due to poor coordination and receiving complete indifference in return is unacceptable. Avoid this location if you value basic customer service and respect for your time.
