  Very disappointing experience at the Subway located at 222 The Esplanade, Toronto. I placed a pickup order through Uber this morning. When I received the food, the sandwich looked extremely poorly prepared — essentially like two pieces of bread stuck together with a small amount of chicken, with no care given to the presentation or preparation. It honestly did not look like the Subway sandwich I would expect after paying for it. When I politely asked the staff member whether the bread had actually been toasted, explaining that I had arrived a little late because I had ordered pickup, her response and attitude were completely unacceptable. Instead of simply answering my question or addressing the concern, she rudely told me that if I wanted, I could just cancel the order. The way she spoke to me made me feel as though I was doing the store a favour by ordering food, rather than being a paying customer. Customers are spending their own money and deserve basic courtesy, respect, and a properly prepared meal. I understand that stores can get busy, but being busy is never an excuse for poor-quality food and disrespectful customer service. This was not just about the sandwich — the attitude of the staff member made the entire experience much worse. I strongly hope Subway management reviews what happened at this location and addresses both the food preparation standards and customer-service behaviour. I would not recommend this location based on my experience today.

  This Subway is embarrassing. Management decides that staffing one person on a weekday at noon is enough. This leads to online orders not even being started until 30 minutes after they were supposed to be ready. Online orders also ignored completely so I was told to wait and watch the worker take and fulfil orders of people who walked in 20 minutes after subway said my order would be ready Don’t bother **edit: when I finally got my order they made the sandwiches wrong anyways lmao

  Ordered the bogo on Uber eats and both subs came with the majority of toppings missing, including the smashed avocado which I paid extra for. They also sent a mini cookie instead of a regular one. Avoid this subway at all costs. They also took forever to prepare the food.
