This was undeniably the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered in my entire life. When I walked in, I was simply looking forward to enjoying a quiet meal, specifically craving my usual Veggie Patty sub. Instead, I was met with an atmosphere so thick with hostility that I immediately felt like an intruder for simply being a paying customer.
The young female staff member behind the counter made it abundantly clear from the very first interaction that my presence was a massive inconvenience. There was no greeting, no eye contact, and absolutely zero basic courtesy. When she began preparing my meal, her demeanor shifted from merely dismissive to outright aggressive. She wasn't just assembling a sandwich; she was forcefully throwing the vegetables onto the bread. I stood there in genuine shock, watching her aggressively grab handfuls of lettuce, peppers, and tomatoes, slamming them down with such unnecessary force that it felt like a deliberate, directed display of anger.
It is incredibly disheartening to witness someone handle the food you are about to eat with such overt disdain. Food service requires a baseline level of respect, not just for the ingredients, but for the human being standing on the other side of the glass. I felt entirely dismissed, utterly unvalued, and deeply disrespected. It completely ruined what should have been a simple, pleasant part of my day. You go out to grab a meal expecting a brief moment of comfort, but I left feeling tense, frustrated, and completely unwelcome.
The hostility was so palpable that it completely ruined my appetite.
Management seriously needs to address this attitude, because an environment this hostile doesn't just ruin a good meal—it guarantees a customer will never walk through those doors again.
