I had a very disappointing experience at this Subway today during lunch. I came in intending to order food, but first asked to use the washroom. I was told it was locked and “for customers only.” I explained that I was there for lunch and asked if I could have the key, but the employee said I had to order something first.
I said I planned to order once I had a chance to use the washroom, but the employee responded dismissively and made no effort to be helpful or respectful. Throughout the interaction, she avoided eye contact, used a harsh tone, and treated me like an inconvenience rather than a customer.
I left and went to another Subway on Wonderland Road South, where the staff member was kind, welcoming, and had no issue with me using the facilities before ordering.
I understand businesses may have washroom policies, but basic courtesy and common sense matter. This interaction felt unnecessarily rude and uncomfortable, and I would not return to this location.
