  After 20 years working in the hospitality industry, and five months travelling for work, last night was honestly one of the worst customer-service experiences we have had. After working a 13-hour day serving the community of Kenora, five of us were looking for a quick meal around 8:00 p.m. Subway was one of the only places open, so we were happy to find somewhere to eat. Unfortunately, we were told the toaster had already been cleaned, so we could not have warm sandwiches. We still purchased five full meal combos and paid full price. At approximately 9:04 p.m., while we were still quietly eating, we were aggressively told that we needed to leave because the employee wanted to close. We completely understand wanting to finish a shift, but there is a respectful and professional way to communicate that to customers. We were simply exhausted, hungry, and trying to eat after a very long day. What made the situation worse was that another couple was still inside eating, while we were being singled out and told to leave. We expressed how disrespectful we felt the situation was, and we were ultimately told that we were not welcome anymore. As hospitality workers ourselves, we understand the pressures of closing a restaurant. However, the way this was handled was completely unacceptable. We felt singled out, disrespected, and, from our perspective, treated differently from the other customers. We will respect her decision—we will not be returning to this location. We will also be recommending that our coworkers and friends choose another Subway location when travelling through Kenora.

  I visited the Subway downtown in Kenora on August 23, between 12-12:15, and unfortunately, the staff were extremely rude and unwelcoming. The customer service was disappointing and made the experience unpleasant. On top of that, the bread was so stale and hard that it really affected the quality of the sandwich. I hope management addresses both the customer service and food quality, as customers deserve to be treated respectfully and served fresh food.

  All day I keep sending doordash orders for a simple meatball sub and they keep canceling the order I don't know why but why have the store location on doordash if the employees are too slow in the head to read the food order instructions and make a simple sandwich then wait for door dash to pick it up so next time I go to this store location I'm causing a life-threatening altercation and ruining everybody's day
