I’ve been coming to this Subway on Alma Crescent for quite a while now, usually early in the morning, and it has genuinely become one of my favourite ways to start the day.
I actually used to be a regular Tim Hortons morning-coffee person, but since I started coming here, I honestly haven’t looked back. The coffee here is simply better — it’s consistently fresh, properly hot, and actually tastes fresh. They clearly take the extra care to make sure you’re getting a good cup of coffee rather than something that has been sitting around.
And if I decide to grab something to eat, the experience is just as good. The cookies always taste fresh, the sandwiches are made properly, and the ingredients are fresh and well presented. The entire restaurant is also consistently spotless — easily one of the cleanest Subway locations I’ve been to.
But the real reason this location stands out for me is the service, particularly from Christy.
Every morning, I’m greeted with a genuine smile and a warm, “Good morning, sir! How are you today?” It sounds like such a simple thing, but it makes an enormous difference. Christy remembers her customers, takes the time to make you feel welcome, and brings such a positive and personable energy to the start of the day. Whether I’m already having a great morning or not, somehow I always walk out feeling a little better.
That kind of hospitality is becoming increasingly rare. Great customer service isn’t just about making a sandwich or pouring a coffee — it’s about how you make people feel, and Christy absolutely understands that.
Fresh, piping-hot coffee, fresh food, an exceptionally clean restaurant, and genuinely wonderful service. For my morning coffee, I’ll take this over Tim Hortons any day.
Christy is an absolute credit to this location and a huge part of what keeps me coming back. She deserves to be recognized for the fantastic job she does. 👏☕️🥪
