  I had 2 free 6” coupons from buying egift cards online as gifts from subway. On the fine print it says: “For every $25 purchased in gift cards, receive a FREE 6" classic sub on print receipt. Redeemable at Canadian restaurants where Subway® gift cards are accepted. In-restaurant orders only.” This location sells gift cards, however the female working tonight refused to accept my coupons, as she kept ringing my chicken teriyaki sub as a footlong instead of two 6” subs so I can use my coupons. Every time I scanned she would flip the till screen around saying it’s not accepted here. When in actuality, had she rung them up as two 6” subs, the coupons would’ve worked. Annoyed this happened and just paid the full price. Won’t come back here, as Subway Sea Island Way in Richmond has way better customer service and coupons always work there.

  I stopped by Subway around 9:15 a.m. before work to pick up a quick lunch for my break. When I walked in, there was no one at the counter for at least five minutes. Once an employee finally came out, there was no greeting, smile, or acknowledgment. Instead, the first thing she said was, "You ready?" I explained that I was there to pick up my order, and she simply handed me my sandwich without saying anything else. The bigger issue was that my order wasn't even complete. I had ordered a drink and chips along with my sandwich, but only the sandwich was ready. What's the point of ordering ahead for pickup if the entire order isn't prepared and ready to go when I arrive? The lack of basic customer service was disappointing. A simple greeting, a friendly attitude, and making sure the order is complete are fundamental parts of the customer experience. Unfortunately, this visit fell short on all counts.
