Witnessed genuinely unacceptable behavior on my visit. One employee, who seemed newer, was working hard to keep up during a busy rush. His coworker spent the entire time yelling at him, openly and repeatedly, in front of a store full of customers. It wasn’t correction or coaching, it was just hostile.
Multiple customers spoke up and asked him to calm down. He didn’t stop. The new employee kept trying his best under the circumstances, and no one should have to work like that, let alone in front of the public.
This isn’t a one-off bad moment, it’s a management failure. If this is how staff are treated on the floor, it says a lot about the culture being tolerated here. Fix this.

Good spot to grab a quick bite while traveling. Staff was courteous and got our food ready quickly.
Their manager, I believe his name is Jhom, helped us out with our order so we could use a coupon from the Subway app. Great customer service from him as well as the other staff member who prepared our subs during our visit. Subs are fantastic! Will stop by again next time we go to Chain Lakes. Thanks guys!

Absolutely rude to me. If they allow people like this ill never go back. What a jerk he is. He can't speak English well enough to take orders, then he yelled at me and started slamming my sandwich. My friend behind me was appalled and I just tried to remain a good Christian and said nothing. Then the have the nerve to ask for a 20% tip. Disgusted and feeling very disrespected. Subway managers please dont let this continue another day
Azam was his name and ill drive 30 minutes to another restaurant before I ever deal with him again
I visited the Subway location at 2401 20 Ave, Nanton, AB T0L 1R0 on July 18, 2026, at 8:38 p.m. There was only one employee working. As soon as we entered, he told us the store was closing at 9:00 p.m. We said that was fine since we were there well before closing.
We initially tried to place an online order using the Buy 2, Get 1 Free offer, but he refused, saying the store was closing and we could not use the promotion. We accepted that and decided to order without the deal.
My daughter has celiac disease, so we requested a gluten-free sub. At first, the employee said he needed to check whether they had gluten-free bread. He then came back and said it was frozen and couldn't be used. From my understanding, the gluten-free bread is individually wrapped and can be prepared if requested, so this explanation didn't seem accurate.
Around 8:50 p.m., he also mentioned that it was supposed to be his cleanup time. I don't understand why cleanup would take priority while the store was still open until 9:00 p.m. Customers who arrive before closing should still receive the same level of service as any other customer.
What made the experience even more disappointing was that the employee never apologized for any of the inconvenience or showed any empathy throughout the interaction.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience due to the poor customer service. I understand that working alone can be challenging, but customers who arrive during business hours should not feel rushed or discouraged from ordering. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this Subway location.
