Disappointing Experience at Taco Bell
I had one of my worst experiences at Taco Bell last night. At round 8:00pm
It was Taco Tuesday, and although they have a drive-thru, I decided to go inside to place my order. There were only two tables occupied, so the restaurant was not particularly busy.
An older gentleman, who I believe was Filipino, took my order. I didn’t catch his name, but he was initially polite and asked how he could help me.
I told him I wanted to order a total of 14 tacos. His response was to roll his eyes and tell me that I could only order a maximum of 10 tacos.
I didn’t want to argue, so I ordered 10 tacos myself and had my wife place a separate order for the other 4.
My concern is more about the principle of the situation. I was not aware of any 10-taco limit, especially on Taco Tuesday when the tacos are being promoted as a special. If there is in fact a limit, it should be clearly communicated to customers.
I think the store manager should take the opportunity to clarify the promotion and ordering policies with the staff and make sure everyone is giving customers consistent and accurate information.
Hopefully this location can improve, because experiences like this can easily turn customers away. I’m sharing this so others are aware and, hopefully, so the store can address the issue going forward.
