My husband and i went in to grab dinner around 8:30PM on Sept 21, 2026. He and I were the only people in the restaurant (other than the only staff member on shift) until shortly after we placed our order, when an older gentleman walked in. From that point on, the level of service provided to both us and the older man left a lot to be desired.
Upon his arrival, the employee asked him to use the kiosk to order, and he replied he preferred to order in person. She impatiently snapped back at him, “Then you’re going to have to wait.” He hadn’t been impatient or unkind, he had simply arrived and stood behind us in line. Then, after double checking my veggies, the artist got them wrong, but after having seen her snap at the other man in line, I wasn’t anxious to correct her. We also asked for a pack of 24 mini cookies, and she started placing full size cookies in the container. When my husband reminded her it was *mini* cookies, she dumped them back into the tray, grabbed a handful of minis without counting them and pushed the box towards us. Finally, we paid with a 20$ on a $19.45 purchase, and she gave us 75cents change before running off to help the only other patron in line.
Overall, we felt the staff was poorly equipped to close by themself, and the level of service in a nearly-empty restaurant 1.5 hours before close wasn’t what we’ve come to expect from Subway. The palpable level of stress coming off the employee felt out of scale for what felt like a very low stress situation.
Sandwiches were fine, except for the wrong veggies on mine lol
