This was my first time visiting this Arby’s location, and unfortunately, it will also be my last.
I arrived at approximately 8:55 PM to pick up my food. I stood at the front for about 5–7 minutes, along with two other customers, while the employees were busy mopping and cleaning the store. No one came to the front to acknowledge us, greet us, or even say, “We’ll be with you shortly.” I completely understand that closing and cleaning duties need to be done, but customers should still be acknowledged and treated respectfully.
What disappointed me even more was the way my order was handled. The meal I wanted was $13.99, and I simply asked whether I could replace the curly fries with something else. The employee gave me a couple of options, but somehow my total suddenly went up to around $21. There was no clear explanation beforehand that making the substitution would increase the price that much.
I explained that I was only asking whether the fries could be replaced, and if there was an additional charge or it wasn’t possible, that was completely fine—I would have simply kept the original meal. However, the employee’s expression and attitude immediately came across as irritated and angry, which made the entire interaction extremely uncomfortable.
It wasn’t the price itself that bothered me; it was the lack of communication, acknowledgment, and basic customer service. A simple explanation of the additional cost and a respectful attitude would have completely changed the experience.
For a first-time visit, this was extremely disappointing. I genuinely hope this location invests more in strong management, proper customer-service training, and supervision of staff, because the way customers are treated reflects directly on the business.
Unfortunately, after this experience, this will be my first and last time visiting this location.
