I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent experience at this location.
I ordered a kids' meal and clearly stated three separate times that I wanted a turkey sandwich with lettuce, turkey, cheese, mayo, and sub sauce. When I reached the register, I was told the total was approximately $13, which immediately confused me because a kids' meal is typically much less expensive.
At that point, I was informed that the order had been entered as a 6-inch sub rather than a kids' meal. We had already received our cookie and fountain drink. I was then told that kids' meals now only come with bottled water and that fountain drinks require an additional charge. While I was not aware of this policy change, I accepted the explanation. However, the fountain drink had already been filled, and I was still expected to pay extra for it. I also questioned why a bottled water, which is generally more expensive than a fountain drink, would be included while the fountain drink required an upcharge.
The situation became even more frustrating when I was told that my 5-year-old child could not have the fountain drink without approval. It escalated to the point where the employee had to call the manager over the phone to get permission to allow my child to keep the drink that had already been served. I found this to be completely unreasonable and unnecessary. What should have been a simple resolution turned into a lengthy discussion over a child's beverage, creating an uncomfortable experience for both myself and my child.
To make matters worse, I was then told I would have to pay extra for additional meat because kids' meals receive fewer slices of turkey. This entire situation resulted from the order being entered incorrectly, yet I was expected to absorb all of the additional costs. The employee handling the situation was unprofessional and did not take responsibility for the mistake.
The explanation provided was that the staff member was new. However, the employee was left alone during a very busy period while the more experienced staff member walked away. This raised concerns about the quality and accuracy of service being provided to other customers as well.
In addition to the poor customer service, I found the establishment to be unclean. The dining area appeared dirty, and the bathroom garbage was overflowing and clearly had not been attended to.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. Due to the combination of poor service, lack of accountability, and cleanliness concerns, I will not be returning to this location. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and provides additional training and oversight to ensure future customers do not have a similar experience.
