Very bad at fixing elevators. Ever since they changed from ThyssenKrupp to TK Elevator every and I mean EVERY elevator that is not a ThyssenKrupp or TK elevator has seen a significant decline. A few examples would be, Holiday Inn in downtown, Canad Inns Transcona, the Forks, Tuxedo Park Shopping Center, and ANY building that has a Dover DMC controllor. It is clear that TK elevator is to blame because all these because all these elevators worked WAY better back when they were ThyssenKrupp elevator, and then all the sudden, they get bought and change to TK elevator and all of them suddenly start having plenty of issues. I know that TK has the contract at all the listed locations. Their solution is never to properly fix and elevator, but to neglect it so bad to eventually modernize it. This is a huge waist of time, money and resorses for everyone but they enjoy it because they're making the big bucks for it.
This is not even the worst though, my grandparents live in a 4 storey condo building with only one elevator. The elevator is a ThyssenKrupp and is under 10 years old. This elevator has worked fine for the whole time they have lived there untill all the sudden the door operator broke and well TK comes and fixes it. What do you know less then a week later it's broken again. This patter has continued on for MONTHS and it is a HUGE problem because:
1. The elevator is less than 10 years old and should be easily fixed by a big elevator company.
2. There is only one elevator in the building and there are sinors who live there that rely on it to come and go from their homes.
All in all TK is a very bad company and they clearly only care about making money from service calls and modernizations. Honestly all the big elevator companys are like this, but this one is just clearly extra bad.
