Patrick was so knowledgeable and helpful with my overnight package to the States.
The employees at this location were dishonest and completely unhelpful.
I received a delivery notice stating that my package would be available for pickup after 5:00 p.m. I arrived at approximately 4:30 p.m., so I understood that I was early. The employee at the front told me to return after 5:30 p.m.
I came back an hour later and followed exactly what I had been instructed to do. After scanning the notice, they told me that the package had already been locked away and that there was no way for them to retrieve it.
I explained that I had returned at the time their employee specifically told me to come back, and now I was being denied my package because I followed their instructions.
The woman then identified herself as the manager and promised that she would personally tell the driver to leave the package at my door the following day without requiring a signature. Anyone familiar with package delivery procedures knows that an employee at a pickup location generally cannot simply override the delivery requirements or personally guarantee that a driver will leave a package without a signature.
The following day, I happened to see a FedEx driver in my building and asked whether he had my package and whether any special instructions had been added. He confirmed that there were no additional notes or instructions.
It appears that the manager simply told me what I wanted to hear because her shift was ending and she did not want to take the time to locate my package.
I am not upset simply because I did not receive the package. I am upset because I followed the instructions I was given, returned at the requested time, and was still denied service. To make matters worse, the manager then made a promise she either knew she could not keep or never intended to follow through on.
Customers should not be punished for following the instructions provided by staff, and employees especially managers—should not mislead customers simply to avoid dealing with an issue at the end of their shift.

It's at the point where if something is being delivered by Fedex, I just roll my eyes. I know the first delivery date will be missed, the courier will lie about attempting delivery (even if I wasn't home, I can see if they tried the buzzer!), and it's 50/50 that I will have to call and follow up.
This month, a new impressive low - the "attempted delivery" proof was a photo of the outside of my building from maybe a decade ago! The businesses shown hadn't been there since before the pandemic. A few years ago, Fedex messed up so badly they sent me a gift basket apology, and then couldn't even deliver their own apology parcel on time.
I don't even really blame the individual drivers - this is clearly an organizational issue that is cultural, ongoing, and widespread.

Great service to ship a package that required packaging for a fragile item.
Service rep was friendly, helpful and meticulous as well as speedy.
Great!
