It's hard to fathom that Fedex uses an automated system that is somehow as rude as the worst human being you could encounter! You apparently cannot connect with a human unless you have some sort of tracking # already, so no luck if you are a new customer. It's almost like it taunts you if you just called to ask questions about how to ship something using Fedex, then hangs up on you with a cold and dismissive tone of voice! As bad as it gets re customer service, yet so bad it's at least a little bit comical :)
The shipment was marked as “delivery attempted,” but no one came to my address. I was home — no doorbell, no knock, no phone call.
The proof photo does not show my property (just pavement), which is not valid evidence.
Because of this, I had to travel from Kanata to Ottawa Airport to pick up the package myself.
This requires a review of the driver’s actions and an explanation of how invalid proof was accepted. Given the low rating (~3.2 on Google), this appears to be a recurring issue.

Deplorable service from a delivery driver today. He came by my house and delivered the “ Sorry we missed you” Slip, but didn’t try to put the buzzer in and didn’t try to call my phone when delivering it. I called FedEx to report this and to ask where my package will be because the slip didn’t even have that noted. It was asking me to download an app to find out where my package is, which I will not be doing. I called and they said it’s a 20 minute drive away. I live downtown and don’t have a car. There are many other delivery centres that are much closer that they could’ve taken the package to, and now I have to wait an additional two days because of the lazy, negligent driver. I also asked to speak to a manager to find out what will be done and the manager was not in office at 3:30 PM on a Friday afternoon. Clearly this company is mis-managed and I really hope that driver is held accountable. They should have had to come and properly deliver the package same day since they failed to even make an effort the first time. The customer service rep on the phone was good, but super disappointed with everyone else involved. Especially the fact that there’s no Manager to speak with. Unprofessional. This is not how you run a business. Get it together, FedEx.
