  The sales person was very helpful on providing me with the "old" and bigger format for the men's perfume that I wanted. Sadly, I disagree with L'Occitane approach of reducing the size only and not the price...

  Je me suis rendue à la boutique du Centre Eaton, vendredi le 20 février dernier et la vendeuse (une française) était assez désagréable. Elle me fixait, examinait mon manteau, etc... Je suis sortie de la boutique immédiatement. Bref, je n'ai pas aimé son attitude.

  Came in just to buy some things to complete my collection at home. Was looking at the almond section and a sales associate came up to me nicely and asked if i needed help and I said no Im just here to buy random things. Once I had 2 items in my hands she just snatched them out of my hands with no audible explanation and brought it to the till. She went immediately to speak to another client after. I went to her and asked why did she take my items out of my hands and she said it was to help, but she never asked she just snatched it. I asked her to give me my things back, went back to the till and cut my shopping short, paid and left. I understand the need to help but please ask before snatching things out of people’s hands. I was planning to buy more too which was disheartening.

  I have received the best customer service I have gotten in my entire life in this store – let me tell you why. Backstory: The morning of my birthday, I went into the store and made a purchase. I treated myself to a bottle of fragrance I had never tried; the visit, however, was quick. I knew what I was getting, so I grabbed the bottle off the shelf, paid for the product and left. In the evening, however, I got a message on my phone saying that my birthday gift from L’Occitane was waiting for me in this store. It was pretty late (6 PM-ish), and I had plans, so I did not go and forgot the message entirely. Two days later, I got another message from them, reminding me of the gift. At that point, I was like: “Wow! That is so nice; okay, I will go get it!” I was surprised – the store could have just let it go, and yet, they have gone out of their way to make sure I am satisfied and get my gift (the employee I talked to actually said that the manager felt sad for me that I did not get my gift and wanted to make sure I do, which is such a nice thing to do!) And so I went to get it. Getting the gift: I go into the store, approach the counter, and show the messages on my phone. To my surprise, the employee working at that time was the one who sent the reminder and immediately apologized for not sending it sooner (she did not have to!) and thanked me for coming. She told me that they were so happy when customers came to get their gifts, then described each product in the box in detail and handed me samples to compensate for the trouble of having to come in after the day of my birthday. She even asked me about the colour I preferred for the ribbon to ensure my gift was perfect. Then, she ended the conversation by making small talk about the movie “Barbie” that my girlfriend and I had seen just a week before. The attention to detail and the level of care I received from this location of L’Occitane are extraordinary. Takeaways: The conclusion I wanted to underscore is twofold – 1) The employee who worked at this store on Sunday afternoon deserves a promotion, a raise, and is really good at what she does; 2) The manager of this store knows what they are doing and truly cares about their customers in the times where 99% of the companies either do not care or full-on disregard the role paying customers play in the success of their businesses. The main takeaway is simple – I am satisfied with that experience and will choose L’Occitane – and this location in particular – over their competitors. The first store I wholeheartedly recommend – amazing people.
