  Lack of professionalism. I booked an apt for makeup services online and when I drove downtown and went in, they said multiple staff showed up sick that day and couldn’t help me. Please fix your booking system or call clients in advance of me wasting my time. Not cool.

  Today, 14 May 2026, I’ve decided I won’t set foot in that shop on Burrard again. In fact, I went into the shop at around 1.50 pm and, when I asked for a specific product, I was very polite and smiling, but I was told three or four times that what I was looking for wasn’t available in Canada and, straight after, the shop assistant tried to replace it with another product I wasn’t interested in. I would like to tell that very young sales assistant with long black hair that courtesy is not an option when serving a customer, but a priority. Naturally, I will tell as many people as possible about the rudeness and arrogance I encountered. I have worked in the retail sector and would never have imagined treating a customer the way I was treated. No comment on the quality of Mac, but on the quality of the staff, yes.

  I came to this location last month and Alina was so helpful and so knowledgable with what MAC can and can't do. She isn't trying to sell me what's the trendiest things, she's trying to get to know MY needs. She understands what I need as an artist. You can tell she is seasoned artist with extensive product knowledge. Thank you Alina! Keep doing what you do!

  Been using MAC for over a decade, I’ve always had such an amazing experience with their staff. It wasn’t the same on April 27th, the associate was quite rude, and seemed annoyed with 3 customers in the store. Please schedule adequate staff so your staff aren’t burned out and short.
