  This hotel is amazing! Why it's not 5 stars, I don't know. We came from Kansas to hunt fossils, this town is small. This hotel exceeded all expectations for a small town. Breakfast was a buffet on steroids. They have an amazing pool and weight room, plus laundry machines! Rooms were huge and everything was spotless.

  I was shocked by the quality of service for this reasonably priced hotel! Staff went above and beyond, and were so kind! A couple other positive points: - very spacious rooms! - rooms seemed meticulously cleaned. - breakfast staff was phenomenal. Every time an item was taken, it was immediately replaced with care. - we were happily overwhelmed with the abundance of breakfast options. - above all- my husband forgot his Apple Watch in his room, and the staff called us to let us know! We would have never known where he had lost it if it weren’t for them. We are excited to stay here again!

  There was nothing wrong with this hotel. It was right off the highway. We stayed here for the fossil quarry. Driving thru town, this looked like the best hotel from the outside. The breakfast was good. The pool was warm. Plenty of parking. The room smelled clean.

  Our family often go on long road trips and stay at a lot of this kind of mid tier places with free breakfast, think Hampton inn and Hyatt place. This Best Western Plus is honestly one of the nicest stay I've had in this category.

  We had a great stay at the Best Western Fossil Country Inn & Suites. For a hotel in a small town, this place is exceptionally well maintained and one of the cleanest hotels I've stayed in outside of higher-end properties. The rooms were spotless, the beds were comfortable, and everything worked exactly as it should. The staff was friendly overall (our check-in experience with one employee was the only exception), and the breakfast exceeded expectations. It was hot, fresh, and had a nice variety from day to day. The woman who took care of the breakfast each morning deserves special recognition—I didn't catch her name, but her kindness and positive attitude genuinely made my mornings better. This hotel is doing a lot of things right, and I'd happily stay here again.
