Called customer service to add insurance on my new phone and was told to go to cricket store so they can inspect the phone and add insurance. Store is the only way to add insurance.
Came to this store, she told me she could not do it because I did not buy the phone from cricket. I told her, I am bringing my own device and yes she can add insurance on that as long as it's within 7 days. I also told her that I confirmed it with their customer service already and it say that on their documents and website as well.
She again started talking to customer service via Chat, wasted about 45 minutes of my time and told me "They" can not add insurance, and I can not add it either and told me to go to the corporate store.
Seemed like an uninformed employee of cricket who did not know what the hell she's supposed to do. Waste of time coming to this store.
Response from the owner is ridiculous. My IPhone max is qualified under BYOD according to Cricket customer service, and I was doing it with 7 days. Your employee is just not trained enough and one employee handling the store, trying to take 5 customers at once is pathetic, doesn't matter, what excuse you make next. Stop being cheap, and train your employees properly.
