Absolutely the worst Subway experience I have ever had.
I ordered two toasted Veggie Delite footlongs through the Subway app using a valid BOGO promotion. Instead of receiving what I ordered, I was given two sandwiches that were not even toasted and consisted almost entirely of bread and lettuce. Tomatoes, cucumbers, most vegetables, sauces, and other toppings listed on my receipt were missing. I’ve attached photos showing exactly what I received.
When I called the store because I thought it was an honest mistake, the employee immediately started yelling at me and repeatedly said, “For $8 nobody is going to give you two sandwiches with so many sauces and toppings.” She essentially admitted that she believed I didn’t deserve the order because I used a Subway promotion.
When I asked for her name so I could report the incident, she hung up on me. When I called back, she made what I believe was a discriminatory remark in Hindi about my nationality, telling me, “Don’t disgrace your country by placing such a terrible order.” I found this deeply offensive and completely unacceptable.
No employee has the right to alter a customer’s order because they used a promotion, verbally abuse them, or make comments about their nationality.
I have filed a formal complaint with Subway Corporate and attached my receipt and photographs. I hope Subway takes this incident seriously because no customer should ever be treated this way.
