  Went to subway in Kalama for dinner tonight, got there at 7:00pm. I walked in and everything was closed down like they were closing for the night. I turned around to doubled check the hours and it’s posted 9am-10pm every day of the week on the front door and states the same hours online. At that same time, I noticed that the open sign was also shut off. Nothing was posted anywhere that they were closing early at 7:00pm so very confusing. Only 2 female employees were there, one was counting tips & leaving, the other that was helping us did not look happy to be there at all. I asked for Italian herbs & cheese bread, the female employee told me that they were out & only had plain Italian bread & wraps. I have never been to a subway that was out of bread. They were also out of the majority of their chip selection & the cookies had chunks missing out of them. The female employee then grabbed 2 loafs of Italian bread from the case for the sandwiches I ordered. Believe it or not, both items pictured are the same Italian bread! As you can clearly see in the picture, one of the loafs of Italian bread was fresh. The other loaf of Italian bread looks like the oldest, burned, most stale loaf of bread that she could have pulled out of the case (there was multiple other fresh ones available in the case but this is was what she selected for me & my kids). This loaf of bread was hard as a rock and absolutely disgusting! Like I’m still in complete disbelief that she selected & gave us this nasty loaf of bread. I ordered 2 foot long sandwiches, 3 chips & 3 cookies. The total was over $30 dollars and the foot long with the nasty bread wasn’t even edible and I had to throw that whole foot long away. Very upsetting from a customer standpoint. I would not recommend going here and will definitely not be returning.
