I had a very strange experience here. On April 23rd, 2026 I used a paper coupon to buy a Cold Cut Combo footlong for 8.99. Nobody ever told me that it couldn't be done, and it was rung up properly and I enjoyed the footlong. On May 6th, 2026 I came back and ordered another Cold Cut Combo. The lady at the point of sale system scanned the coupon code and crossed it out, and then told me that it couldn't be used for a Cold Cut Combo. I asked her if any of the coupons on the sheet could be used for it, and she said "no." I tried to point out to her that I had gotten a Cold Cut Combo at that exact location exactly two weeks ago, and she acted like it had always been a policy even though I asked her if it might be a new policy. I've been using those mailed coupons to buy Cold Cut Combos for years (it's sort of funny but it's the only one I ever get at Subway), so either this is a new policy that didn't exist two weeks ago, or she outright lied to me. The end-result was that I had a coupon crossed out/voided and no food to show for it. I left while I was still in a good mood and it didn't feel ethical to pay full price considering this issue and the very serious bugs with the Subway app that doesn't allow me to place orders due to location errors (the app being broken isn't the fault of this place of course, but added together it really sours my taste for Subway at the moment, and I had even mentioned the app issue to her in a kind small talk, "I know it's not your fault, the app is broken so I'm paying 8.99 instead of the 6.99 offer that I got in the app today, haha" kind of way). I will be contacting customer support someday soon and finding out if that policy actually exists, since trust with this location has now been broken in a very disappointing way.
