  I went in to dispose of used motor oil. The gentlemen at the desk was helpful. After disposing of the oil in the back and discarding the empty containers in a trash bin just a few feet from the oil disposal, I proceeded to leave. A woman asked me to go retrieve my empty containers from the bin. I have no issues taking my empty containers with me, however, to be asked to go dig them out of the trash which was within arms reach of the oil disposal and which already contained multiple empty oil containers seems to be pretty poor customer service. I agreed as not to cause issue, but when I went back to collect to trash, I saw no signage anywhere nearby to indicate this is the policy or the need to take my empty containers with me. In the future, I would suggest this location adds signage to indicate their policy and/or not have a trash can full of other like trash directly next to the oil disposal. Even telling me ahead of time would have been totally adequate, but to make me collect trash out of a trash can after having no way of knowing their policy, is very poor customer service and the reason I will no longer be visiting this location despite being the closest auto parts store to my residence.
