  This store does alright for the most part but having only 2 people working on the weekend is not the best idea especially when one of the employees doesn't move around very well. This shopping adventure with this store started like it always does. I pull up to the store finding an older woman attempting to change wiper blades by herself with no one assisting her. I help her an notice that one wiper had the wrong connector. We go inside and the the assistant says that is the only connector that is close. I look down at the package and see the correct one still in the package 🤔. We swap it and I go back out to finish helping. Then I back in to get a new rubber drain plug gasket for a Ford Escape and your system recommended a gasket that obviously wasn't the correct one. I asked to look at a replacement drain plug and found that it was the correct one. The lady just pointed me to the shelf so I could find it myself. The funny thing is that the drain plug was only 2 dollars more? 6.99 for the plug and gasket where the gasket only would have been 4.99. really? This has been the norm at this store since about 2010. It's almost like this store doesn't want to succeed. Hopefully we'll see if O'Reilly's make them step up but AutoZone didn't so I don't have much faith that it will.

  Tommy at this Ruckersville store is awesome. I came in again unsure of how to fix something (headlight this time) and he helped me change the bulb on the spot. I drive older cars that are easier to repair than the new ones and Tommy has so much patience it’s unreal. Give this guy a raise !!! - Advance, you’re lucky to have him.   I went to advance to see if they would check my battery and i was told they could check it but they wont because they wont go outside because its to cold. . I didn't argue. I just politely said thank you and left and drove a couple miles down the road to AutoZone and not only did they come out and check my battery but they also put in a new battery for me.. so they got my business along with a 50 dollar tip. Oh, and also, it only took him one minute to check my battery and tell me that yes my battery was bad so advanced auto couldn't walk outside for one minute and check my battery. If you cant stand to be outside for a couple minutes then your in the wrong job.
