I brought my Alo return package to this UPS Store with the prepaid return shipping label that Alo had provided. I was told that the label needed to be printed for a small fee, which I agreed to pay. After printing the label, the store associate mistakenly placed another customer's shipping label on my package instead of mine.
As a result of this mistake, Alo never received my return, and I am now out nearly $350 because my items were sent to the wrong destination due to the store's error.
When I returned to the store to report the issue, I expected the staff to take responsibility and work toward a resolution. Instead, I was met with employees who showed little concern for the seriousness of the mistake. I asked to speak with a manager, who gave me an email address and instructed me to send my proof of purchase and the correct shipping label. He assured me that everything would be submitted and that someone would get back to me within two weeks.
I specifically asked several times if I could have a reference number, receipt, case number, or any documentation showing that my claim had been opened. The manager looked at me as though my request was unreasonable and said there was no need because "the owner would handle it." When I asked if he meant UPS, he clarified that he meant the owner of the store.
I left feeling uncomfortable because I had no documentation that my claim even existed. Before leaving the parking lot, I went back inside one more time and again asked if there was anything they could provide me for my records. Once again, I was told no.
Following the manager's instructions, I emailed all of the requested documents—not once, but three separate times. I never received a response.
When I finally called the store to follow up, I was shocked to learn that the manager claimed he had never received my information and that no claim had ever been filed. This directly contradicted what I had been told in the store, where I was assured that everything had been received and would be handled.
I am extremely disappointed by how this situation has been handled from beginning to end. The original mistake cost me nearly $350, and the complete lack of communication, accountability, and follow-through has only made matters worse. If I had not called to follow up myself, I would have continued believing that my claim was being processed when, in reality, nothing had been done.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this location to anyone. I would not trust this store to handle important packages, nor would I trust that they will appropriately address mistakes when they occur. Customers deserve accountability, transparency, and competent service—none of which I experienced in this situation.
