I ordered delivery and unfortunately only received my sandwich. My chips, drink, and Live Action cup were all missing from the order. I called the store to have the issue corrected. The woman who initially answered the phone was polite and trying to be helpful, and I appreciate that. However, another employee speaking loudly in the background was incredibly rude and unprofessional. When the first employee explained that I was calling because I had not received my chips or drink, the employee in the background immediately responded, “Yes she did, she’s lying.” I have absolutely no reason to lie about missing items from a food order. I simply expect to receive what I ordered and paid for, including the delivery fee. When I asked whether the missing items could be resent or refunded, I was told I would need to call back tomorrow morning and speak with a manager. The employee in the background then loudly said, “Just come pick it up, damn.” That response was completely unacceptable. I paid for delivery because I am working in a hospital setting and cannot simply leave work to pick up items that should have been included in my delivery in the first place. Had my order been fulfilled correctly, none of this would have been necessary. Mistakes happen, and I would have had no issue with a missing item being handled professionally. What I do have an issue with is being called a liar and spoken about disrespectfully while I am on the phone trying to resolve a legitimate problem. The employee involved seriously needs additional training in professionalism and customer service. Speaking to customers this way reflects extremely poorly on the business and can quickly cost you repeat customers. I hope management addresses both my missing items/refund and, more importantly, the way this situation was handled.
