Inedible, Water-Logged Garbage (Total Stonewall)
I ordered two 6-inch turkey subs yesterday, and they were completely inedible. The bread was smaller than ever, totally flavorless, and so heavily saturated with moisture that the entire sandwich collapsed into a mushy, slimy mess. It was so unappetizing I literally had to feed it to my dogs.
When I called the store for a refund, a 21-year-old completely stonewalled me. He explicitly refused to give me his name, his manager's name, or the name of the franchisee owner. To make it more ridiculous, he claimed that because I called the next day instead of yesterday, "nothing could be done." If your business can fix a problem "yesterday," it can fix it today. Using a 21-year-old kid to shield management and the owner from accountability is a joke.
After looking closer at where this food has trended lately, I found shocking facts that I was unaware of and as advocate for exposing fraud & bad business practices, let’s talk about the hidden, unhealthy industry tricks happening behind the counter at Subway that cause this food to be so toxic and bland:
First, they are using cheap moisture-retention practices to artificially extend vegetable life. To keep shredded lettuce and produce from wilting under the hot counter lights, they keep them water-logged. This doesn't make them fresh; it washes out the natural flavors, destroys the nutrients, and turns the veggies into a heavy sponge.
Second, the processed turkey is loaded with injected water weight, heavy sodium, and chemical binders to artificially pump up the weight on the scale. This isn't for quality—it is a cheap trick to inflate profit margins. When you slap water-inflated meat and dripping-wet veggies onto their new, low-density, shrunk-down bread, the entire sandwich destroys itself within minutes.
You aren't paying for a fresh, healthy meal.
You are paying premium prices for high-sodium, chemical-filled, water-inflated fillers wrapped in soggy bread. Between the corporate corner-cutting, the sloppy kitchen prep, and a local management team that literally hides from its own customers, this place is an absolute rip-off.
And people wonder where cancer comes from?!?!?!
Avoid it completely. Eat Healthy
