Paid for a year in advance, after 5 months they broke contract, closed my account and refused to refund me any of the remaining balance.
Store clerk Toni called me saying a former employee that setup my account had made a mistake by not getting 2 forms of ID from me and several other customers.
She stated that they would close my account immediately if I didn't come down there and give them additional forms of ID.
I was out of the country on vacation, and I asked what they needed, she informed me that they had my driver's license on file, and they needed additional photo ID.
Since they already had my state issue photo ID on file, and don't accept SSC or BC, the only other photo ID I have is my Passport.
She explicitly told me my passport would be fine, but I had to get to the store immediately to give them my Passport.
I came home from vacation and brought my passport to the store.
Strangely, Toni gave my 2 pieces of mail without identifying me or speaking to me.
I asked how she knew who I was, she stated that she recognized me.
I tried to give her the passport, but she refused it, saying I needed another form of ID in addition to it.
She produced a photo copy of my Photo ID & My Drivers License from when I originally set up the account, which was Strange since she had previously said the former employee failed to gather 2 forms of ID but there they were. 2 forms.
So I explained that she had instructed me that my passport plus the 2 forms they had on record were all I needed, and she still refused to honor the agreement.
She called the store manager Eric Davenport, who was hostile and combative right from the start, I explained everything they had told me and that I'm there now with the document they had asked me for.
He had a terrible condescending attitude and basically said he doesn't care about the inconvenience they were causing me.
I conceded to simply close the account and refund the remaining 6 months, when Eric Davenport very rudely said he wouldn't refund me anything.
So I asked him to accept the passport in addition to the DMV ID and Driver's license on file so I could keep my mailbox and go about my business.
He refused, suddenly changing the story saying that the Drivers license on file expired, but it had actually expired in December and it was now May. So that wasn't true.
The contract was already signed with 2 forms of ID and I had already paid for the year. I explained what Toni had told me the whole time, that the former employee had not entered 2 forms of id, and that it was their mistake.
He said something like it's not my problem.
Then he hung up on me, and called Toni. After speaking briefly, She said he'd instructed her to ask me to leave and after I was gone to ban me from the store!
Later that day a reluctant police officer showed up and gave me a paper saying I'm banned from the store!
Before he left he said, "I'm sorry this is happening to you. The owners name is on this paper if you want to sue."
The name is Eric Davenport.
Absolutely unbelievable!
