👍🏻Convenient Location, Disappointing Service👎🏻
This UPS Store is the most convenient location for me, but unfortunately, it has become one of the most frustrating.
Here is one of those days. It was late morning on a weekday, and there were 13 customers waiting in a very small lobby, including elderly customers and people with children. Despite the long line, there were two managers on duty. The male manager wasn’t even wearing a name tag.
The biggest issue wasn’t that the store was busy—it was the complete lack of urgency. The male manager worked at an extremely slow pace, spoke slowly, casually walked around, and made no apparent effort to reduce the wait time. When the customer he was assisting mentioned that so many people were waiting, his response was, “Don’t worry, you’re fine. I’m used to having a line of people.” Instead of recognizing that customers had been standing there for a long time, he seemed completely unconcerned.
I waited more than 20 minutes just to drop off two packages, a transaction that should have taken less than a minute or two.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t my first negative experience with the same manager. On a previous visit, I paid him to notarize documents and also paid to have copies made.
After submitting them to the court, I was informed that the notarization had been completed incorrectly because the signatures and dates had been placed in the wrong locations. As a result, the court could not accept the documents, and I had to spend additional time and money correcting a mistake that should never have happened.
I understand that every business has busy periods, but customers deserve to see managers leading by example, working efficiently, and respecting everyone’s time. Based on my experiences, I hope this store improves both its customer service and attention to detail.
